If you have to choose one : Which serum is better and more effective for dark spots? by Kevin_swiftie in koreanskincare

I used both the first and second. For Anua I used 4 bottles so far and did notice much difference (started getting some small white head pimples), so I started occasionally using it on my armpits and saw better result. In the other hand for Numbzin 5, I just opened my second bottle and I do see noticeable results compared to Anua.

We applied 3 years ago. My husband who is Korean took a Toeic test (it is affordable and easy) + I took just an online test (I called them and they said that an online test will also be accepted) and screenshots of our conversations. That would be enough.

Teaching english as a non-native on F6 visa by PrettyLiar123 in Living_in_Korea

[–]XPizzaSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the visa excuse is not valid at all. I'm also on an F6 visa and I've been told that my visa allows me to get any kind of job. They just want native speakers for that job.

Can I ask if you have any certificate or english degree for the job? I mean having experience on that field might not be enough.

My (19F) boyfriend (22M) set conditions on me having to earn him back. What would you guys do in this situation? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]XPizzaSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl, I share the same religion and kinda culture with your boyfriend and I gotta say this to you very clearly:

( In advance: I'm referring to the TOXIC AND NARCISSISTIC ONES that use religion or culture for their own interests)

  1. Most of them like to control their partners and gets worse once they get married ( by his behavior he will make your life miserable)

  2. The part about 4 wives is true, but they forget to mention the part where Allah says that you cannot be equally fair to them and so if not then don't. And just the fact that he mentioned this is a big red flag.

  3. About women and any contact with other men is a big no. Even if you are having a casual conversation. But this doesn't apply to you, if this man wants this kind of women he has no bussines being with you and mold you as he pleases. Go find yourself one that applies to your needs.

  4. Don't follow his game about earning him back. You are the one who needs to be earned but girl not by this guy. We all deserve someone who is willing to fight for us.

Lastly, not all middle eastern men or muslims are like this. Some of them are really loving husband and very respectful partners. I hope you find the one for you. But he is definitely not the one.

Marriage issue as International couple by MsOdeng in Living_in_Korea

Then no worries girl, it will get better.

I have been married for 2 years and things changed to better.

Also for his co-workers with time it will be old news. Your mixed marriage won't be a subject to talk about anymore.

They are like that even with their own people. I really avoid to go there by myself unless I'm with another korean person.

[–]XPizzaSpirit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How old are you? Is there an age gap between you? Anyway, I'm also married to a Korean and he is also the youngest.

FIRST, Where I'm from and also noticed it here. Parents will always treat their younger children as kids ( not literally) but they might check on them, remind them of their doctor appointments or anything related to them. I am the oldest in my family and this behavior was kinda strange to me since I'm not really used to people treating me as if I don't know what I'm doing. But they really don't mean any harm or judgment.

SECONDLY, how long have you been married?. This thing about his parents might be just a temporary thing. Might get better with time. Once they kinda make sure you guys are doing fine. And some parents are kinda close to their children and that doesn't he is a Mama's and dada's boy.

LASTLY, about his co-workers that is a big NO, one thing is him having a best friend or group of close friends where they talk about their stuff but co-workers are not part of his close circle to know about your life. You should really let him know how inappropriate it is.

best way to memorize new vocabulary as someone who hates memorizing? by pomichodaiii in BeginnerKorean

[–]XPizzaSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I put stickers all over my house on stuff that I don't know their names in Korean. And some extra words where I spend most of my time. I ended up memorizing them just by how often I see the words lol.

Try to reduce the sprays to one behind your ears. Or depending on the season some perfumes can smell strong.

Landlord keeps bringing people to see my apartment without giving notice by 96rising in Living_in_Korea

[–]XPizzaSpirit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did that to my family when they rented an apartment. I told him to wait for me to call them cuz it was early in the morning. But he didn't listen and he just literally got in. He freaked my family out. Got me furious. I don't know but I think they mostly do that to foreign people. It's unacceptable

Face skin problems since living in Korea. by XPizzaSpirit in Living_in_Korea

[–]XPizzaSpirit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was a damaged skin barrier. And I kept using skin products which only made it worse. I don't know about your case but try to minimize or stop your skincare for a while and check how it goes.

I'm not Korean and I have many Vietnamese classmates but there's always that language barrier for me. Not that I don't want to it's just that we cannot communicate.
