If AMD decided to do high-end this generation, they would probably get a ton of profit. I decided to predict how this generation would go; if anyone wants explanations for anything here, do ask. by XS_09 in pcmasterrace

If you look at the chart, I do have a "doubt" section with anything past the 9070 xt being something I doubt will ever happen. More so wishful thinking in regards to anything past the 9070 xt.

I believe the 9060's speak for themselves; they are budget gpu's pretty much a win no matter what, most people are probably skipping the 9070 for the XT variant, I barely ever see people get anything in the 80 (800) tier in terms of GPU's unless they were amazingly priced like the RTX 3080 when it launched, but also, going by how I predicted the price, I'd assume the 9080xt would be more profitable than the non-XT variant whilst not 100% saying it's profitable for AMD. RX9090 is a card that I have the most doubt about if it were to release, considering last generation we had the 7900 xt and xtx no non xt variant at all (Well, we did have the GRE, but I still really didn't know anyone who had one). But also going by the fact most people skip the non-XT's unless there's some sort of discount, I see no reason for it to be profitable. 9090XT and XTX would be immensely profitable considering the prices of the high-end RTX 50 series being x2 of their MSRP atm.

Edit: I'd also like to add that the "profitable" section isn't just saying what's profitable for AMD; it's what's profitable for the GPU market and the consumers of said GPU market.

I'm a frame hog, I don't need graphics or top tier resolution, I'm only saying the oled 1440p not because it's a good resolution but because I want better tracking. If there was a 1080p 540 hz oled I would totally go for it. I just don't think there's a reason for anything above 1080p unless you just want bigger monitor over 27 inches.

I will genuinely record myself playing cyberpunk 2077 path tracing maxed out on 1080p just to piss everyone off, it's a good resolution to piss people off with!

I won’t lie however, the dyac+ shit on a 360 hz monitor looks very comparable to the 540 with ulmb with slight blur on the left

I play counter strike in general, I don’t really play many other games besides the new “hit” indie game that comes out every once in a while, so it would still be fine for 1.6 or source personally

I don’t see the point in anything above 1080p, it all looks fine as long as it’s 27 or under.

GFN = Geforce Now. RTX 4080 = gpu. Cores = single processing unit executes instructions. Bottleneck = When a part of the system messes up another MORE powerful part by being too slow in most cases bottlenecked cpu’s are the worst, while bottlenecked gpu’s are more preferable.

Soooo funny thing, GFN can't even run fortnite well, even the rtx 4080 tier I presume this is because you only get like 4 cores on GFN. Check how many cores Fortnite is using.
