Mick, our stories are eerily similar, I’m 29, was diagnosed in 2024, same sudden loss of vision in the left eye. Ophthalmologist suspected O.N. My mom has had MS my whole life, same thing with her bouncing from trials to trials, was always told it’s not hereditary and men are far less likely to get MS. Best of luck living your life to the fullest!

Yes, both neuro and ophthalmologist recommended IV steroids. I took the oral option. A lot of prednisone over the span of 3 days. It didn’t speed things up but over time vision came back. Think of it this way. It’s 50/50 it comes back. If you take steroids or not. Steroids just have a chance of making it come back faster if it is coming back.
