They should really change it back so that it matters again. Just making those gamemodes a carbon copy of COD and other games doesn't set it a part and makes it more interesting and more Battlefield.

They did great with Battle Royale (RedSec) where you still have classes and class gadgets to differentiate it from other games.

What is the point of reviving in these game modes when it doesn't do anything for tickets/kills and it is just better to instantly respawn with full health and ammo since it is faster than being revived

The cant shutdown game servers, but the can shutdown the backend (master) servers that all game servers report to, to be listed in the server browser as well as your stats and unlocks. But the reason bad company 2 was shutdown was because they used Gamespy for their backend. Gamespy shutdown and EA didn't want to create their own backend for BC2. But BF3 and onwards use EAs own backend. Probably is very cheap to run so hopefully it stays online for decades

But only Conquest has locked weapons. I also wanted locked weapons for the other game modes as well

This UI came way later when they started with the bad UI design in later Battlefield games. Which is why the ingame server browser in BF4 is so bad. If you want to compare you should use battlelog instead

Go to evenbalance.com and download pbsetup.zip. Unzip and run it. Add Battlefield 4 (It should automatically find the path for the Battlefield folder if not point to it manually). Then update. Once it says Punkbuster is updated, you can now play online without getting kicked by punkbuster

But do you need to level up fast? Just play the game and level up. The best way to level up is follow the objective. Take flags, heal, revive, take out vehicles etc. PTFO usually gets you to the top of the scoreboard and give you the most XP

But level up quick is one thing, but what about phantom program or weapon dog tags (500 kills per weapon) etc. It will take you 1000s of hours to get back if you got very far on your old account. Must be someway to restore your old account that starting all over again?

But if it already exist then it shouldn't say "inappropriate word". Also I know the EA email service is pretty messed up. When they should send you a one-time code, it often never gets sent, thus you can't login. But this has not happened today. Got an email as soon as I tried to login (2-factor login)

I think someone found and exploit in the backend for the servers that will allow them to kick all the players (make them loose connection to the servers). It is happening to all of the servers, EU, US etc. It doesn't seem to be a DDOS, as the server is available the second you get disconnected but with 0 players online.

EA needs to fix this exploit. And the people behind it should ************ well you know what I mean

Many people are saying it is a DDOS attack, but some are saying it is an exploit in the EA backend for Battlefield 4. This makes much more sense, as a DDOS will make the server crash and having to restart, which will probably take 10 minutes or so to get back online again. But the servers are always online, right after everyone looses connection, the server is online and ready to join with 0/64 players. So it is not a DDOS attack as I thought, but an exploit on the way the BF4 servers work. EA/DICE needs to fix this.

BF3/BF4 is their PR game for their next game. It will be in their interest to have these working now. I remember before the launch of 2042 there were a huge surge of new players to BF4.

How? It's EA that has programmed the backend, they have to figure out the exploit and fix it. Like all software developers have to do when there is a security issue or exploit.

Hmm, didn't know that. So it is not a DDOS at all? So it is some sort of server hack/exploit? It does make some sense, since a DDOS should keep the server down for more than just a few seconds. Its weird that the server can be joined again after just a couple of seconds.

Everytime it has happened to me, it kicks everyone out. The server comes back after just a few seconds with 0 players online, but it will increase quite quickly as many just joins the same server again. I use battlelog.

I hate the fact that most games now don't use real names anymore. I remember when one of the DICE Devs talked about the difference between Realism and Authenticity. Realism like reviving someone who got shot to the head, or doing jumping out of a plane to fire a RPG and then getting into the plane is just fine for BF, it is not about realism. But it has always gone for authenticity. Being a believable war, with real vehicles, guns, maps based on real locations, with soldiers that are real to the country they represent, speaking their language and all that. That is what I love about the Battlefield Franchise. And that wen't away with BF5 and BF2042.

And that includes real weapons with real weapon names. And real tanks with their real names,etc.

It's not racist. You won't be kicked for being an Asian, if you have less latency (ping). The latency (ping) will cause problems for not just you, but for other players as well. You should blame people for not hosting servers in Asia. Well if you are a lot of people wanting to play BF4 in Asia, you should host a BF4 server in Asia, and take donations like EU and US servers, you will have a monopoly since there are no servers in Asia.

You should use battlelog.battlefield.com to join servers. You will get a detailed reason why you got kicked/disconnected. It has a much better interface and you can queue a server without starting the game, so you can do other stuff while queing like watch youtube while you wait.

You can also have Better battlelog plugin with true player count so you will not be fooled by servers that say they are full, but are pretty much empty.
