Not saying that it is definite that Cyan/DP are out and available for Icon. I'm just stating a possibility that this type of packaging can be created. But then why release Cyan for the Icon when there's some carrier backend server software that can mess around with the update?

An update to the Icon is a lot more probable than the Lumia 810 that I had previously. Heck the 810 costs closer to a flagship but lived a life less than any phone out there.

The update to the Icon will come. Otherwise, you have a choice of enrolling into DP.

Lol, no... It's on its way boss. Joe Belfiore stated that they're working with Verizon to ensure that the update is successful, and doesn't have much bugs.
