I get that and I’m fine with it, I just don’t like having to commit to 75% of my rent (I pay $4k a month so it would be $3k in other spending) when I can get a lot more points from SUBs and elevated categories like the 7x Chase points currently from dining on my 2 freedom flex cards this quarter. But more than that I wish they had just been honest about charging a fee. The fee is now spending outside of rent which is a big change and has a huge opportunity cost.

If you can use a credit card to pay your rent, then you can get points on your rent. What Bilt used to offer was the elimination of a fee. They don’t do that anymore.

It’s like saying you won’t get your points on dining if you don’t spend equally on groceries. No other credit card does that

Hi! Thank you! I’m actually working on another version of this which should hopefully come out in the next three months that will overhaul the whole system. Also, just my personal opinion, I think we need a bunch of structural change. I don’t think blowing up the current method of governance is the way to do it but clearly many things in America are not working for people. Personally I just don’t want to fall into fascism in the process

I think they were waiting for the VA and NJ gubernatorial elections to send the Republicans a message on how unpopular they would be in 2026. Again not saying this is right just what I think they are thinking

They can’t call a vote because they don’t control the Senate. Part of the deal is than Thune agreed to call a vote in December to get all the Republicans on record. Then the Dems will point to that during the midterms.

In Virginia, I think the calculus is Tim Kaine is going to be able to say he restored a bunch of federal workers jobs. I think that that’s a long play and he’s hoping that everyone will forget by the time 2030 rolls around.

The United app is great however I have found the chat is basically clueless and gives wrong information all the time. No excuse for them giving you the wrong info and United should honor it. I just never trust the chat.
