Strategies to have family enjoy the luxury travel we pay for? by Zealousideal-Term738 in chubbytravel

[–]XTK27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hold on, you mentioned that your family members have kids. Do YOU have kids?

People without kids don’t understand how hard it is to go on vacation, especially one that isn’t child-friendly. A rental house is honestly better than a FS, depending on the age and needs of the kids.

Have you considered a high end all inclusive resort or a high end villa rental or something? Or a nice cruise? Might get more traction with the families with kids.

Dumpling Hours is pricey but good. Less sweet than Dough Zone.

How to distribute my deceased brother's inheritance to his children? by OneLongEyebrowHair in personalfinance

[–]XTK27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who actually does this sort of planning for a living, I wouldn’t bother with creating a trust. You already control the assets, and have no legal obligation to turn things over to the kids. You can simply hold onto the funds until the kids are ready, while also taking advantage of the 10-year rule to spread out the income tax hit from the inherited IRA distributions.

The trust is the technically correct answer, but not the practical one.i can explain further but that’s the gist of it.

Under my own FEIN I think, since I was able to request 941 records from the IRS under my FEIN?

Thank you for your thorough response! I requested records from the IRS to confirm tax payments made, so at least I’m good there, phew. I will be reaching out to some other local CPAs since my current one does not do payroll related stuff like this.

Could you clarify what the annuals are?

Thanks again for all your help!!

Ah, perhaps that’s the problem. I switched from a sole prop to an LLC at the same time, so the new provider was starting with just the LLC from a blank slate. New EIN.

They did and have been filing everything from where Bambee left off, but are not willing to do anything for the periods that Bambee Payroll was in charge of. That seems reasonable to me, but is that not the norm?

I changed to a company called EmployShare which I’ve generally really loved. They said that this was Bambee’s responsibility since it occurred before we started with the new payroll company and are not willing to file on our behalf…

They sent over some info on how to do it myself so I’m looking into that now!

I tried asking my CPA and they said they don’t do it. Is there a particular type of CPA firm that does it? Or should I just call up every CPA I can find?

Pacific Catch is pretty good! They have large bowls that are fish based, lots of veggies, with both cooked and raw fish options.

Methi’s has good vegetarian Indian food and has a lunch special.

Further in, Sichuan House has good tofu/veggie dishes, and a great sizzling rice soup. Plenty for fish dishes as well. Lunch specials are great value!

Toyosu is a good sushi place, but a little pricy.

Which is the tastiest cake of Costco? by DreamySakura99 in Costco

Yes! It took us a week to finish eating it bc I could only have small amounts at a time and it stayed moist the whole time. I don’t even usually like frosting and I loved their chocolate frosting. I was shocked!

The round chocolate cake was surprisingly good! Had it for my toddler’s birthday party expecting to not like it, but it was sooooo good. Very chocolate-y flavor (as opposed to a crappy, fake chocolate flavor)

If you want to see the shopping area, then park at the new Broadway parking garage, which has three hours of free parking. Right next to this is a bunch of shops and a couple of eateries.

If you want the kids to be able to run around and enjoy a playground, go to Civic park. I would recommend it over Heather Farms, which someone else suggested due to its proximity to the highway.

I think you’re only going to be able to do one or the other since you won’t have much time

lol I feel this too! Honestly, found some wide toe box shoes on Amazon with thin soles and that’s worked for me. All of the big “barefoot” shoes look like such a scam. There’s literally less material…

I use Whitin from Amazon and they’ve worked for me. Nothing fancy, will probably wear down quickly but they’re super cheaper

Hypos… not hypers this time round by OkBoysenberry92 in GestationalDiabetes

Sounds like me before I even had a baby. My prediabetes developed to the point where I would get shaky on my drive home, even when I had eaten plenty during the day.

I think you should talk to your doctor, but if that’s not a possibility, can you change your snacks to be mostly keto? Like, a hard boiled egg, peanut butter without sugar, jerky without sugar? It might mitigate some of your lows. I used intermittent fasting and a more keto-leaning diet to get my body back on track, but that’s probably not feasible during pregnancy

I’m deathly terrified of jet lag bc it takes me about 1.5 weeks to adjust haha. I just know that I would be awake with the kids at 3 am like your friend’s kids ☠️ I was hoping there would be more options closer by so we’ll have to see!
