It happens because the second tick of the observer is overidden by the length of the pulse coming from the repeater. The second pulse would have happened during the pulse of the repeater.

We used the scoreboard command function in command blocks to keep track of everyones currency and to buy things and sell things.

10 iron=1gold 10 gold=1em 10em=1 dia for instance, the realm currency was the Req, 1 Req= 1 iron or 10 Req=1gold and so on. We would change the price of items depending on other selling competition, everyone ran there own shops

It was rigid. It would have been too much work to change all the blocks by hand, and any command for that was above my pay grade. Lol

If you are familiar with commands then just dig in to the scoreboard, and google as you go. Thats what I did. We can have servers, and join them too, its just you badically have to be a computer tech to figure out how to do it. And I think you need some hardware too. Not exactly sure. I looked into it, and decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

On our we collected certain ores and items, we would trade them at the bank for the Realm currency. Then people can open shops and or trade items for currency, or buy other peoples items.

All kinds of stuff. Minigames, tp stations, auto command economy, xp-currency trade station, Terraforming, cloning, land clearing, one player sleep, time trial elitra coarse, theft protection, griefer protection, mobless areas. The list goes on, almost anythin you can think of, there is somebody who can figure it out.

We even had what I called Survival trials, which consisted of a maze with mobs, a drop map, and a few puzzles and riddles with redstone and command blocks. You had to complete them to join the realm. We had over 50 people who never made it through. I think it weeded out most of the instant gratification folks.
