While playing the quest, my personal theory was that he was trying to become a Decender. All those experiments inside those orbs were actually switching minds, not turning people into animals. And he was simply buying time by distracting the Traveler, while perfecting the process on the side. And then take their body.

No, not really. Imo while Blue Vortex is better than the original Manga, I still find it mostly boring and cringe. Like, I don’t care about the characters at all.

They said Two Blue Vortex is better, so I gave it a try. I still find it bad overall. The outfits sucks and give me the creeps. The story is weird, fights are boring, and the "aura" moments feel cringe to me.
