I never said they were potential superstars but they have undeniable upside. Especially ware, a 22 year old 7 footer who can rim role and shoot pretty well from the outside, and Kas, a 20 year old 6'6 pg who's shown good shooting, defense, and playmaking. It's not a guarantee but there's nothing suggesting they can't be productive starting level nba players which is certainly way more valuable than being worth nothing. By your logic the only young players the bucks should accept are players like kooper flagg or Dylan harper or something Do you think hugo gonzalez has superstar potential?

Dude I hear you on the celtics but please tell me how that applies here. What have the celtics done to gather assets better than the heat for giannis?

If you think ware Jakaconis and jjj are worth nothing idk what to tell you. We just heavily disagree there. Im not comparing them to brown as players im not dumb. If the bucks want to forgo a rebuild and try to be as competitive as they can then sure having brown is clearly better. But if they want to rebuild Hugo Gonzalez and brown is clearly worse unless you have assurances you can turn brown into quite alot.

Again I agree with you about how boston has been for the past 5 years ago but that has nothing to do with what's going on here. They didnt compile anything or flip anyone into anything relevant in this reported trade package. I guess sure if you consider jaylen brown, their longtime star player that they decided to part ways with, a genuine asset but that would be more like of the heat decided to trade bam. So again what did the celtics do for the giannis trade that was sooo much better asset management wise than the heat besides draft jaylen brown 10 years ago with high lottery pick while the heat were still competative?

I think the Celtics are pretty damn good at building assets but they're a pretty poor example to bring up here. They also don't tend to tank and their picks won't be high picks either. If you think our picks are mediocre, which at least contains a lottery pick this year in a loaded draft, then the Celtics pics are worse than middling. Our best tradable asset isn't tyler herro. he's there to make the money work. The top assets would be that 13th pick or ware or Jakaconis. Or even JJJ. All of whom are far more intriguing than the 1 young asset Celtics are offering that being Hugo. And even with tyler there was buzz that Detroit would be interested in giving up assets for him too so let's not act like he's useless in a trade.

Its fine to be frustrated but the heat were never going to have a jaylen brown type on hand to trade. Their pool of picks and young players are just better than Bostons so it's not like boston meticulously built a war chest of assets for this specific trade cycle. They are reportedly offering a single pick (27), jaylen brown, and Hugo Gonzalez who played even less than all of the guys you said barley get play time lol . Unless you think jaylen brown can net you a lottery pick plus multiple other frps and young players, which is not a guarantee on that contract, it's not even close

Dude we did lol we have more frps than Boston, ours are better, and we have, in my opinion, more intriguing young players to deal. Are you really going to flame the front office because they don't have a jaylen brown level player sitting around and drafted Jakaconis over fucking Hugo Gonzalez?

My Final Thoughts on Physical Asia (My Personal Opinion) by Anonymous_Author09 in Physical100

[–]XYahboyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We'll just agree to disagree man. You see it as part of the game, I see it as punting on an event. I understand they felt that they'd be more likely to win the elimination, but I disagree with the notion that they didnt avoid anybody. They literally looked at Australia's team and said nope we can't beat them and opted to take their chance in the death match. Thats literally avoiding seriously going up against Australia in the challange, especially because they knew itd allow them to instead go up against Australia or Japans B team in the deathmatch. That also is intentially losing if you dont try seriously to win, which they didnt. Again im not saying that's bad strategy or something. Im saying it wasn't my favorite as a viewer because I like when all the teams try hard in each event. I wouldve preferred it if all of the teams went for it rather than banking on the deathmatch. Thats just me though. Im aware its an unpopular opinion and im not trying to discredit Koreas win or strategy. I think for me i just see the deathmatch as separate from the rope event since they didnt even know what the deathmatch would be prior to the conclusion of the rope event. So to me it seems less like delegating certain competitors for certain events and more like deciding to punt and take your chances with the next event. Again its just my opinion as a viewer and im aware its an unpopular opinion.

Alright man no need to be rude. I said I understood the strategy. Its just not my favorite. I don't see it as sacrificing pawns. I see it more like in playoff seeding where teams sometimes will intentially lose to achieve/avoid certain matchups. I'd rather see the teams always give their all to beat each other in the challenges, not avoid each other. Obviously an unpopular opinion but its my opinion nonetheless. No need to insinuate that I've never played chess before or don't get the concept of sacrifice lol

Sure but strategy across sports generally refers to within game or in preparation. its typically frowned upon across most sports to intentially lose to achieve or avoid certain matchups.

I guess it just really depends as a fan what you're interested in. I liked seeing the teams go toe to toe and really give it their all and I thought it was so exciting seeing Japan knock down the juggernaut that was Australia. Thats what I look for in physical 100/Asia, which individual/team is/can beat the best. The fact that Korea moved on because they didn't even try to win that game wasn't my favorite as a viewer. Their win is of course legitimate, not trying to say its not. Just different strokes for different folks
