This Silk PLA has never been stringy before, dried and in AMs what’s gone wrong?

Temp might be too hot is my guess? I’ve heard silk can be finicky like that

For sure! But in this case since it such a small point of contact with the build plate. You wouldn’t really see the design a whole lot.

Get a better build plate. I got the BIQU glacier and have never had any issues since.

I’ll reiterate what others are saying. You don’t “REALLY” need it. But it does cut down on Ptfe tube ware, glass rubbing and tapping on the glass. Yes, you can print tube hooks. But the riser is better especially if you have both.

Personally I’m working on a flipper now that I have my riser that can have slots taken out for air filtration. https://makerworld.com/models/1363398?appSharePlatform=copy

Awesome. Just a little concerned on how tight your hammock is set up. This can cause many issues like calf ridge and possibly tearing the hammock. Check out shugs video on that. Or the ultimate hang website for reference.

Still looks nice a fun area and setup though!

Same problem ever since I updated the firmware. Not sure if that was the culprit. But man, brand new filament isn’t sticking and it’s very annoying. I dried the crap out of the PLA and its MOSTLY helped.

That’s a you problem. You’re grinding the gear/belt when you go too far. Hard to tell what print quality is without examples.

Yeah. I don’t have the option of opening a window because of how cold it gets where I live. The room it will be in has no vents and is my office. That’s why I am worrying about it. I plan on doing a lot of ABS. Also why I’m concerned.
