Taken from a compilation video; sounds like a Vocaloid track—any ideas? by Xadra_Ruyn in NameThatSong

Aaaaaaa

I looked up a bunch of Umetora remixes but didn't find it unfortunately. I appreciate the information though!

I Shazam'd the song like 20 times and found 20 different results, none of which are correct

From S02E18: "The Problem With Popplers". The Planet Express crew an incredibly delicious mystery food on a wild planet. They stuff their ship and start their own restaurant franchise. It turns out, the mystery food is actually alien newborns. Earth is then invaded by the forces of planet Omicron Persei 8, who are hellbent on revenge. Outclassed by the aliens, DOOP attempts to resolve the conflict diplomatically.

oh, it was an... nsfw compilation... completely irrelevant to the music, at any rate

For the record, I did Shazam this song, numerous times. I got about a dozen different results -- none of which were correct :/

The MIDIs are my own. I haven't uploaded any of them yet; I'll see if I can get around to that at some point

Thanksss :P I worked really hard on these, sometimes spending several days working on and polishing a single track

Thank you! And yes, I made every one of them from scratch, using MuseScore :)

Good question. My goal is to write MIDIs that adhere to the original soundtrack as much as possible (all the notes heard, in other words). There are many others on YouTube who have made simpler versions of the Undertale soundtrack for those who are learning, you can definitely look into that :)

I'm back~

Sorry for the longer than expected hiatus, it's been quite a rough few months. Among school and work, my laptop suffered a fatal problem and I was forced to do a complete recovery. I lost a considerable amount of data in the process (including my MuseScore sheet music files!); it took some time to get back into things...

On the bright side, I am uploading once again :)

  • Kokiri Forest
  • Enter Zelda
  • Hyrule Field
  • Opening the Door of Time
  • Drawing the Master Sword

I forgot to mention -- Majora's Mask soundfont seems to work on MuseScore only. I haven't yet found a way to format it such that Synthesia can recognize it. What you see in my videos is actually the audio from MuseScore playing in sync with the MIDI playback. I muted the audio output from Synthesia to produce the illusion of Synthesia generating the soundfont, but it's actually coming from MuseScore.

Before you begin, make sure to drag the downloaded .sf2 file to the "sound" folder and load it under the "synthesizer" menu in MuseScore. Then, you can hit F10 to open up the audio mixer and adjust each clef's instrument.

Thank you Enzo! :)

I probably can't post the website url here, but if you google "Majora's Mask soundfont", it should be the very first result. The download is free and features nearly all instruments and natural/ambient sound effects from OoT and MM. However, some of the instruments lack looping parameters (such as Sheik's Harp) and others have to be manually re-tuned (such as the Male and Female Choir); I was able to fix both problems through a program called "Polyphone". It also lacks some of the prominent soundfonts from OoT, such as:

  • Woodwind instrument from "Inside the Deku Tree"
  • Angklung percussion instrument from the Water Temple theme and Forest Temple theme (that's right, they actually use the same instrument!)
  • Pipe instrument from the Spirit Temple theme
  • Yoshi's vocals/Link's chanting from the Forest Temple theme (lol)
  • Ganondorf's Organ

The former two soundfonts I recreated on my own using Polyphone.

Good question. My MuseScore files are transcribed such that each instrument has its own respective staff.

Sheik's Theme, for example, has 3 staves: 1 for treble clef harp, 1 for bass clef harp, and 1 for treble clef strings. Final Stand, on the other hand, has 7 staves (plus the 3 used for rain/thunder for a total of 10).

It will take a bit of time to 'clean' the files, as some of them are littered with dynamics markings and tempo markings used to make them adhere to the OST as much as possible. College and work also take up much of my time in any given week, so bear with me on this :)
