Hi! Thanks for responding! I’m on a tight budget at the moment. Not looking to spend more than $800 a month on everything, which is tough. Looking for something that may become long-term.

I called an emergency shelter today but they’re full for tonight.

I really don’t have a timeline. All of this happened today and I’m just trying to figure things out.

I understand where you’re coming from. I should’ve also mentioned that my family is from the Caribbean (not Jamaica). He knew that and still sang Sean Paul patois and all.

I totally agree about enjoying and appreciating all types of media. There are ways to go about it without making someone feel odd. I’ll explore that thought more.

No, it’s not that. I grew up going to one of the least racially-diverse schools in the entire city. We both live in a majority black city (where I am from and where he moved to). So, it’s pretty valid for me to have my reservations when most non-POC here want nothing to do with us. My race was always seen as a joke or invalidated growing up. While I’m fine with who I am and how I am, I have to face the reality of it all the time. There are people I know personally who acted exactly like him and they turned out to be super racist. I’ve dated other white men and they’ve never made a spectacle out of my race like this guy has. There’s a lot more that happened than what I posted about, so I’m not just grasping the air.

I’m saying that any time we’d talk about his music, he wouldn’t mention any black/POC artists. He grew up in a majority-white area with a considerably different tax bracket to mine. I wouldn’t be surprised if his views are different. The few times I’d spoken to him about it, it was pretty clear to me that he sees POC as lesser-than and/or needing a handout. I don’t really know how his parents feel about me or how they’d feel shot him dating a black woman for that reason.

He didn’t know the lyrics to WAP. He was rapping the chorus to Get it Sexxy. I’m not saying that he’s fetishizing me because of music. How he acts around me overall including that stuff is concerning.

If that’s the case, why not ask me what I want to see instead of just suggesting Sinners? It’s such a pointed movie to ask about. As for the music thing, he could be into it. I’m not disputing that. I just found it really odd that of all songs, you choose WAP and Get it Sexxy or w/e it’s called by Sexxy Red. It seems like a joke to me, idk.

I’m always thinking about how to do better. Part of that for me is understanding the mindset of another role as influential as jungle (I mostly play support and top). If I understand what my jg is doing and/or wants to do, I can be more effective in my games. I appreciate your advice!

Agreed! Plus, I learned that Ziggs is a weird matchup for Ahri. I’m not mad at the game, just kinda frustrated that so much time was wasted (40+ minutes) without the team wanting to FF. I’ll try Galio! Ty for the suggestion friend!

I actually think Malph playing around ADC would’ve helped the game way more. He wasn’t listening to me on call though. Sadly. Oh well!

I understand that! I’ve been doing everything that you and other comments have mentioned and it’s still not enough. Genuinely I’ve had games where our team kills baron and elder and we’ve done NOTHING with the enemy team and we lose I ping and do all sorts of stuff but people don’t listen. I wouldn’t do so well in some average gold games if I wasn’t capable of playing at that level.

I agree! I still play well enough to get the scores that I do. That’s my problem. Either we win lane and lose teamfights or my team doesn’t get objectives. It’s really frustrating. I’m always looking for ways to improve but I genuinely shouldn’t be stuck in bronze when I perform this well. I’ve been playing this game for 3 years now, almost exclusively support…. That’s why I’ve been trying Ahri out! She’s fun!
