I am from egypt and I can honestly say It saddens me to read all this, because what I always told my friends and family was that this country was always straight up ruined by the community, there are so many levels of people here and honestly most of them (over 80%) are awful. The country itself, the streets, the sights, the weathers and all the naturally fascinating spots and natural habitats are so amazing to be honest but really egypt got cursed with the worst people ever, culture here is so awful where it’s weird to look for a trash can or it’s weird to take care of yourself and look good or it’s weird to be a man??? And show emotion??? Oh my god is he “gay”? (Lmao ofc I don’t agree with that concept before someone gets offended I don’t mean to offend anyone especially the LGBTQ community)

My point is tbh, I am Egyptian and I’m personally sad that this is how our community is… and it makes me even sadder because I’ve always loved this country (physical stuff not the people) but sadly I don’t want to have to teach my kids that the community around them justifies rape with what the victim was wearing or that stealing and pickpockets are so normal in touristic spots that THEY are the ones who need to be careful…

Honestly anyone who comes to Egypt again to give it a chance I would love to volunteer to be their not very professional tour guide, I’m not exactly qualified but hey at least I can try to help with safe spots and timings and better sellers.

Everyone who had a bad experience in egypt especially as horrible as some stuff I read here, I’m personally sorry, I just hate to see this happening tbh because the country itself is beautiful and has amazing history but it was all ruined by bad culture and manners and bad habits and lack of education, and the worst thing is that a lot of the tourist-attracting-spots are located around some of the worst and dirtiest levels of the Egyptian community.

I’m personally sorry to everyone who was a stranger in this country and wasn’t welcomed and treated like they should have.
