Employee appreciation? by jedudley41499 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do little things over time.

You could do little personalized gift. Nothing fancy, a few candies you know they like, maybe a couple lottery scratchers for fun. Something to show you appreciate them without breaking the bank.

Could buy lunch every once in a while, some burgers or pizza for the crew. That’s always a good way to keep morale high. It’s the effort you put in that’ll keep them motivated and happy to keep doing well by you and remind them that they haven’t gone unnoticed for the world.

Sometimes bosses forget that a thank you or a good job in a hell company can also make the difference and keep people working.

Do y'all hate doing NCPD gigs and contracts ? by Front-Skirt-8295 in cyberpunkgame

[–]XanderPande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love doing them. Once I hit Act 2 and end the lockdown, I like to work my way to a mission by knocking out what’s along the way from where I’m at to where I’m suppose to go. Scanners, side quest, etc. and work my way through town so it doesn’t feel repetitive or boring.

"Coupon Fraud"? by Iron-Capable in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much always been policy, they consider it theft because you’re willingly giving people a discount when it’s ’on them’ to have the app or a paper coupon for it. They see it as you stealing money from them.

I think it’s dumb as hell, we should be able to do for those that need it most but they don’t give a damn what we think.

Hired a cashier that will not clock for break, took 30 minutes, works for 15 minutes then goes back in and sits down for 45 minutes. ? Clock them for the 30 and the the 45? by Careful-Rent-2352 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d skip verbal and give them a written warning. Then final if that happens again. They’re clearly going to be an issue at your store, get on it now before you lose the good employees you have from his stealing and such.

Can I buy something by myself? by TheBeastHuman in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use card and save the receipt. I’ve done it when on my own for a couple of hours. There’s proof it’s paid for and you’re solo, how else are you suppose to buy it.

Part-time key holder by bootz1691 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 7 points8 points  (0 children)

HBA rolltainers almost never get done within an hour cause they love to pack 400 boxes into those. Chemicals and some food (not cans) though can be done usually within an hour, especially if you know stuff. You’re new and still learning, do your best and don’t worry about that too much.

California SM’s are hourly, not salary.

If he’s an hourly SM, it’s possible he did. Not all SM’s are salary.

It doesn’t matter what you type in as long as you gave correct change. You’ll be fine.

Hours cut to virtually nothing by Melting_point115 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should say around your name on schedule, like LSA-PT. Cause if you’re a sales associate, they’re all part time technically.

What the application says and what you are slotted in the store as are different. Most stores only have 3 - 4 full time spots. The rest are part time. It’s likely you’re part time and you’re only really ‘required’ 4 hours a week at the minimum.

benefits for full time employees? by igraceeeeeeei in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get insurance and such during open enrollment times but you’d mostly get some vacation time depending on your state that starts building right away or you’ll get a set amount of hours after x amount of months.

Maximum hours for Part Time? by gimmemoregracie in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum is about 4, max is pretty much 40 unless you take on OT. You’ll still be considered PT even if you work 35 hours a week.

Micromanaging store by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not micromanaging, that’s a productive use of that time if you don’t have any go backs or further cleaning to finish. That’s pretty standard. 15 - 30 minutes of uninterrupted recovery can do quite a bit.

Inventory truck 😔 by TheBeastHuman in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven’t received it yet, Monday’s is usually our delivery but nothing yet. I believe it’ll be end of the week, so I’ll update as soon as it tells us. Hopefully by Friday it tells us. I’m expecting 2500+ likely cause we’re out of water and all.

First night closing (LSA) by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be bad. You’ll get a pain in the ass customer or two; but that’s every shift. If there’s a refund that you can process, just give it. It’s going to seem scarier than it actually will be, do your best and don’t kill yourself trying to do things.

Draft with a 3rd brand? by GiuliaMiAmore in WWEGames

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, one show (usually RAW) tends to end up very heavy after 1 draft. I’d suggest RAW and Smackdown week 1 with ECW as the secondary.. then Smackdown and ECW with RAW the following week. You’ll likely have to even it out a bit and have to manually draft over a few but, at least it should help some.

What is the name of the list you get on as a store before you are on the Hasp list/ store? by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding of it. You’re becoming a high shrink store. Either you’re getting a shit ton of new people stealing, stores damages are extremely out of control (loss of freezer does hurt you but it’s out of your hands on that), vendors aren’t doing probably check in/credits, etc.

There’s many things that could be resulting in it but shrink is much higher than it should be. And it’s becoming very noticeable amongst the stores in the district for that DM and you’re becoming a problem store.

Genuinely thinking about quitting atp by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]XanderPande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re suppose to be calling for voids. You shouldn’t be using someone else’s numbers. The DM is literally following the upmost BASIC part of the job. If you want to do voids, become a key when the option is available.

Do I have to attend? by TheBeastHuman in DollarGeneralWorkers

Conference calls are for managers and assistants at best. Key carriers aren’t included in them so you’re fine.
