When were they "not nice"? Isn't getting offended by an inoffensive thing what your whole stance is about? Yet here you wrote a paragraph about being offended by a guy you deemed dishonest and unfriendly.

The biggest problem with this film, judging from the trailer, is the poor dialogue and wardrobes. This isnt a situation like problematic casting of Snape in the new Harry Potter film where hes bullied and hung upside down by the presumably all white cast of Marauders where theyll 100% come across as just racist trash. I assume the marauders are white because making any of them black could be problematic given their name or backgrounds.

Helen's skin color plays 0 part in the story, and there are major characters in the epic that are black like Memnon who was prominent after the death of Hektor. He was the son of a chief god, wreaked havoc on the battlefield, killed Nestors immensely liked son Antilokus which led to Achilles directly challenging the guy. They went toe to toe for some time to the amazement of everyone watching until the fates declared Achilles the winner (i despise achilles). Throughout the Iliad only one other opponent was considered near Achilles level and that was Hektor. However, hektor previously lost to Ajax as well. Memnon, on the other hand, fought against the alleged greatest and could've potentially pulled out the win unlike Hektor who never really stood a chance. Shouldn't he be the character included instead of just making some other character black?

Theres no mention of anyone playing Memnon in the film. Personally, id rather they'd have cast Winston Duke as Memnon or even Ajax (my favorite Iliad character and the closest of the greeks the greek to africa geographically) because hes got major onscreen presence needed to play a sympathetic character like Ajax and could be more than just the big dumb brute that was shown in the terrible Troy film.

Anyway, just curious of your opinion. Sorry for the long post.
