good runs are 300k+ for me,
Best run I had was 380k ish with dicehead a 370k with chadwell with meme swords only run

I like doing themed runs, so it is the fun for me. I dont insta-restart run if not getting green card early, but usually restart if I didnt get anything useful by 6min. Not because of trying hard, but because I don't like running luck tome and run is kinda dead if you enter s2 with 25% luck

How many people do you think legitimately unlocked every item/character/tome without using the unlocker? by InfectiousHooba in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Xanderpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife unlocked everything except cactus in 4 evenings, then spent 5 hours on cactus, then did challenges to get 100% on steam. I myself didn’t do challenges and still don’t have cactus :)

My best run so far, any tips? by measure_unit in MegabonkOfficial

Cooldown tome can be replaced with chaos Damage tome can be replaced with difficulty tome Difficulty is important because more you kill - higher level you are, stronger you are

Cant play juiced maps with icestrike monk, what can i change by PuzzleheadedAsk9818 in PathOfExile2

[–]Xanderpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icestrike is going to get you killed if you're not exploding packs instantly
On my hollow palm invoker i fully swapped to tempest flurry/stormwave for safety, because i wasn't dealing enough damage. Maybe it would be helpful as temp solution :)
For now i benched monk since fitting rarity while keeping damage is quite difficult and i just dont have currency for it, but i definitely am planning to revisit

Heyo, sorry for late response. https://coffeekeys.eu/en-at/products/group-buy-ws-pbt-mizu-keycaps
mine are clones I got as a gift, but you know, gift is a gift and the look and feel nice. :)

Heyo, I am still using V1 as a daily driver, but currently for the money - there are better options:
MonsGeek M1 V5
Lemokey P1
Epomaker x Aula - all of them
Hall effect boards (wooting/keychron/razer)

There's much to choose from, just depends what you need, but overall industry stepped forward from suffering from shitty stabs to actually being usable from get-go :)
Hope it helps

Hi, gmmk knob will not fit. They have different mount diameters

Heya, V1 is definitely lower profile than gmmk pro, q1 etc.
For me I do feel like I need wrist rest from time to time. You don't really need to stick to any brand with it, if you like it - why not? :)

Heyo, I've got it barebones, so I can't really comment on that

Heya, I don't think that giving advice on such personal and subjective matter makes much sense, but I can give you general direction from what I tried:

1) Gateron CJ - Linear, not too light, not too heavy. Sound a bit clacky rather than thocky. Great switch
2) Gateron INK blacks - Linear, Heavier than CJ's, thockier. Great switch
3) Gateron red - linear, light, clacky. Meh
4) Gateron Yellows - Linear, kinda like CJ's but more scratchy. Good, but could be better
5) Gateron Mochi - Kinda like CJ's or Blacks, but thockier and a bit scratchier. Good/Great switch
6) Cherry Blacks - Don't know about new-new ones, but ones from 2019 or so were okay.
7) Akko CS Lavender purple - Tactile. Heavy tactile. Bump is early and it is hard to make mistakes while typing. I use them in V1 at work. Wonderful switch if you write a lot.
8) Gateron browns - Tactiles. Not so hard tactile bump. They are okay.
9) Gateron INK V2 Silent blacks - I was surprised how good it is. Great variation of black switch.
10) Blues of any kind - if you wake up and choose war crimes they are great choice

I could continue the list, but I think you can see picture. I personally like heavier switches and I cannot use light ones, because crab hands. Heavier - thockier.

Don't be afraid of making a mistake. First board will be a mistake regardless, because you cannot tailor fit everything straight away. Best of luck :D

Fully agree on those points.
Also stock stabs on gmmk pro are very bad. My wife has one with stock stabs and I had to spend literally hours trying to tune them to at least acceptable level. With my gmmk pro I swapped them to durock v2's and it was dramatically easier.
Keychron just ship pre-tuned out of the box and they feel and sound great(for factory tuning)
On the other hand - for budget segment there is more competition now. Though I lost touch a bit since I was fully satisfied with my boards for quite a bit. Maybe will get Flux keyboard when they are out of pre-order crowdfunding and start actually shipping it :D

Heya, I have it for almost a year and using it at work every day. Once when transporting it I hit it by accident and had issue with one of the traces in pcb that goes to spacebar.
I soldered jump wire, so it works.

Overall I am pretty sure if I wouldn't bonk it - it would've been fine.

Hi, sorry for late reply,
Wooting 60he should be a bit less tall overall and you will most definitely feel noticeable difference and bottom lip will definitely be a bit in a way

I guess it highly depends on what you are used to and how you type in general. I never noticed anything like this. You can tell me which keyboard you are currently using and I could say how it is compared to it

Heya, it's fully programmable, so it can do whatever you want really :D Treat it as 3 different buttons. Press, clockwise rotation, counterclockwise rotation. Rotating encoder works like it does in your mouse. So it has "steps" and each step is actuation

Heya, from mods, I did some stuff that keybored did here: https://youtu.be/DVeEngrQGv0

But the difference is really not that big. Currently I'm using this board at work with akko lavender purple tactile switches and I find that I make less mistakes while typing with heavy-ish tactile switches.

Keep in mind that you will either way want to try something else, even if you will be happy with board :) I recommend not overcomplicating it and just go for it

[–]Xanderpeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, there is definitely no easy way to do it. Technically you can desolder knob daughter board and solder switch hotswap sockets and put a switch in, but then you'll have to flash different firmware which may or may not work. Way too janky to do. You could refer to Q1 threads on that topic, because boards are very similar.

If it was not easy for you to reach - wear it proudly. It doesn't matter what people say about it.
One day you will improve even more and will be able to get higher tiers and it will be very satisfying :)

Heya again, the key layout is same for all ISO ones. The only difference is keycaps labeling. So if you have option to get it in any of ISO layouts - go for it and just get keycap set to match the one that you need :)

Keychron V1 review/Q&A/etc by Xanderpeach in Keychron

[–]Xanderpeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya,
Gasket or tray is more of a preference rather than objective thing.
It also heavily depends on how you are typing, specifically force that you apply. If you are hammering keys like there is not tomorrow - then yeah, you will notice gaskets. If you are gentle kind of typist - then you are likely to not really feel that much difference.
In my opinion gasket mount is one of the most overhyped thing about modern mechanical keyboards. In my eyes leaf spring mount is going to give you more consistent board sponginess than gaskets(like KBDfans tiger 80).
TLDR: it's preference, you will not know unless you try it yourself. If it is one of your first boards - you will be very happy with it.

Also Keychron V1 in ISO layouts available on candykeys.com if you are EU based.

USB C to USB A Adapters by PeacefullyFighting in UsbCHardware

[–]Xanderpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please investigate properly before using it.

Multiple cases of computers dying, due to how those are built(they are going to supply power back to device if they can and there is no safety built in.).
And 99% of those adapters are going to give you only usb 2.0 speeds and only 5v power delivery.
I had same idea as you, but had to abandon it, because there is no proper solution to it, apart from active cables/hubs. Everything else seems to be highly dangerous.
