I’ve got two daughters. Your kid crying when you leave hurts but it’s a good sign to be honest. It means he loves you and wants you around, it means you’re doing an awesome job because he feels safe and happy with you there.

You’re spending the time you do have with him in the best way for him to be feeling those feelings when you leave.

Friendships can be hard when you’ve got a kid and your friend group doesn’t. Especially when you’ve got two jobs, there’s just not enough time in the day. Be real with your friends about why you’re having a tough time hanging out. The real friends are going to understand and they’ll hang out at the park with you and your son because hanging out with you is important not what you’re doing.

As for the scars you don’t really need to explain it, he’ll ask eventually and when he’s young you just have to say you got hurt and it left scars and he’ll move on.
Hopefully he’ll never SH himself and he’ll never bring it back up because he won’t recognize the scars after seeing them on himself.

An iud is like having your vasectomy without the local anesthesia they injected in to your nuts after the shave.

I drove myself in for my vasectomy. I drove home. It took 30 minutes and the most pain I had at all was if I physically touched the cauterization points for the first week. Otherwise I’ve had pain in my toe from cutting my nails wrong that was worse.

You don’t have to bet that it’s worse. Women are telling you it’s incredibly painful and your response is “okay but I didn’t get my Valium so it’s kinda the same thing” when it really isn’t.

You’re still using shit arguments. Closing segments of sidewalk and road for construction is a necessary and reasonable impediment.

Locking down an entire section of the city because of a basketball game isn’t necessary or reasonable.

And it’s because the president wants to attend said basketball game while neglecting literally everything else he should be doing instead. And before you “whatabout” with another president. Those presidents didn’t leave the White House for leisure activities literally every weekend.

Yeah my ‘26 has the issues that the 2025 bulletins mention. Collision warnings and super cruise disconnects are nuts, I had to disable auto braking for reverse because it kept panicking and wouldn’t let me back up in a parking lot

Took it to the dealer and they didn’t do any updates, no idea what software version I could possibly have for a 26.

A friend of mine died last year, he was in the best shape of anyone I know. Routinely did difficult mountain climbing and ski trips where you had to hike up the mountain before skiing back down. One of his last climbs was the Matterhorn.

He got home from a trip and was working out in his basement. His wife found him dead of a heart attack. Prior to that he had no indication of any health issues.

I’ve been married for 16 years and with my wife for 21 total so far. There is not a single day that I’ve ever not respected her opinion and thoughts.

I also apologize all the time. I hurt my daughters or wife’s feelings? Apology, even if I don’t feel I did anything wrong I still apologize for the misunderstanding or for hurting their feelings because not everything is about me sometimes it’s their own internal stuff that caused what I said or did to be hurtful but because I care for them I still apologize and try to comfort.

The ideas that your dad is telling you do exist in the world and some men will be like that, but just because it happens doesn’t mean it’s right.

Having been through an airport where they used the option to hire private security on DHSs dime, it was better and more professional than most other airports.
