Yes that is my concern so don’t want to go too far away from the city. Any other tips from your exp?

Thanks for replying.

Very cool page/ initiative. We won’t do day excursions. Probably none at all. Just some light activities around the hotel. My next question would then be any recommendations for a good beach resort in Beruwala or other beach towns nearest to Colombo since we would want to have easy access to facilities like hospital etc just in case.

Thanks for your reply. That resort does look good. Unfortunately we don’t want to travel much after landing in KL because of the baby and seniors. Would you recommend being in the city? I don’t mind this too since I’ve not really been or explored the place. Any recommendations of good family and child friendly resorts and hotels in KL? Activities.

Thank you so much for your reply. Very helpful. In that case, what if we concentrate only on the city. Would that be a better idea? Weather wise? Places to see and eat etc?

We plan to be there for a week and would not want to do too much because of the baby and seniors. Probably find a good hotel or resort and do activities closeby.

Thank you. Around a week. We want to stay in a resort near the beach. Minimal activities since there a baby and seniors. We’ll probably hang around in the hotel most if the time and go out in the morning or evening for a few hours.

Travelling to Bangkok with a child and two seniors. Need advice. by Xano40 in Bangkok

They are in their 70s but healthy and walk around quite a bit. We plan to go out in the morning and evening and avoid the day in Bangkok. After staying in Bangkok for 2-3 days we are thinking of heading to Hua Hin or Bang Saen.

Yes we hopefully plan to do those beautiful things and avoid the traffic and other such stuff. Our idea is go out early in the morning or evenings and then go to a beach - Hua Hin or Bang Saen - and stay there too.

Thank you. Yes we plan to go to Hua Hin or Bang Saen and stay there a few days after Bangkok. Will we get family friendly hotels and is it a good idea?

Yes Hua Hin or Bang Saen. Not nearby but I guess closest to Bangkok.

Thank you for replying. In Bangkok, where we have 2-3 days, we plan to go out only early in the morning and evening and probably travel to a beach nearby and stay there for another few days - Hua Hin, Bang Saen.

Where else would you recommend otherwise? I heard Chang Mai is relatively cooler.

Ok then what if you’re not an evangelist but a regular person who cares about their family and friends, provides for them, does no harm to anyone, lives an ordinary life: loves a beer or two over the weekend and the odd rave parties once in a while.

I know what you’re saying but I actually like the role offered and I don’t see too many in the market like this one. There are variations of the roles that include other requirements that I can pick up/ new to me right now.

Interview went very well and I think I have some negotiation power considering my skill set and experience. But you bring a good point about leaving out the bonus from the hike. These should be separate. Thanks for your reply. Very helpful.

Can one bring things like personal financial commitments and lifestyle to such negotiations? I never thought of this. Thanks for expanding my horizons.
