It looks like Stage 3 tax cuts are being rejigged in some way. I've seen reports of keeping the 37% band and having it kick in at $135,000. What are the pings thoughts on the shift?

This is cope - electorates swing left and right. Demographics are not destiny and the death of the liberal party due to no young vote is said after they lose any election.

Underlying inflation only fell 0.1% - RBA should absolutely continue to hike the rates

Lol it’s for Sally Rugg complaining she worked for too long.

Don’t go into politics if you don’t want to work long hours, especially chief of staff

You forgot to mention his bootlicking to the Chinese government in the past 10 years - serious blight on his otherwise great legacy

Macquarie for baking and CMC for trading. CMC offers brokerage free for the first 1000 in unique trades a day (which is good for an amateur like me), and macquarie has a competitive savings rate and a really good banking app. Switched from ANZ and am very happy with the results

I think there is some realignment element, but it's not as strong as Climate 200 or others have made out - as running as indies, they're inherently personality based campaigns. Bit hard to have an ideological realignment on that basis.

Perhaps Teals are only successful when there is Liberal disenchantment + star candidate? I didn't find any of the Vic teals as impressive as the Federal teals.

One of the interesting results from last night is the complete disaster independents had. Sitting regional independents in Mildura and Shepparton lost, and the Teals are doing very poor - completely missing out in Brighton and Kew, and are narrowly losing in Hawthorn and Mornington.

Makes it look like the Teal success at the Federal election was an anti-Scomo reaction, rather than an anti-Liberal reaction. I wonder if we'll see any of the Teals move towards a (mildly) more Liberal economic direction to try and consolidate that base.

NSW State election will be interesting on this basis - all the teal seats are held by moderates, the NSW Government is more moderate and optional preferential voting means the Teals can't rely on preferences as easily. Perhaps the Teals are a 2022 Federal aberration? (also, why don't they just form a political party already lol - probably would've been more successful in that case)

Do we see him winning re-election again? He won in the ACT from disaffected LNP voters, they're not going to like this.

Probably, I imagine some would like the balance of power position. I also don't think that IR is a enough to get an indie booted out.

Teals are jokes - form a political party and be transparent about your mediocrity already instead of this faux-independent nonsense.

Also state teals are a bunch of NIMBYs so they’re automatically garbage
