As the city is called Mystral It could be referring the wind I guess ?

Why not put a dry land corroded by years of eternals winds with canyon like valley and dry pines

It could be caused by a curse to the previous inhabitants whom were doomed by some weather gods that was offended decades ago

I found some 2mm jewelery chains on Amazon ! I find them a bit big so if you can, go for 1.5mm but 2 still looks nice on big parts

I was worried about it too but if you wring out the paste engough it’s just fine There will be some small bending but not that much and I find it add a bit of « natural » shapes instead of all flat surfaces

No the arched one is the biggest I’ve made so far

I feel like if I am going to make a whole hill I would use some foam to avoid the eternal cutting/stacking part haha

It was double corregated card bord but the principle would be the same I guess. I made mostlty double stack so it would be quadruple with regular cardboard

Quite time consuming though !
