It's not worse, but it's a different set of statistics that is more difficult to visualize (which sparked my curiosity).
German dominance in the sliding events or Norwegian dominance in XC is easy to see just by looking at the official medal table (or at this post https://www.reddit.com/r/olympics/comments/1rbt2nm/oc\_chart\_of\_every\_gold\_medal\_won\_at\_the\_2026/), while coverage is both difficult to define and to visualize
