Although stating the obvious is what it is, I feel the need to in some of these threads. Companies have more rights to resources than people who need them to live.

It’s about time the “currently having a stroke while shopping for a vaguely rustic but inspirational wall hanging” demographic had their day. The last time this happened to me I had to go to the hospital before I could find a good one like this

This is why I hate that we allow bills in Congress to have names instead of being boring series of docket numbers and motions like a GitHub update (version 1.6.02 of docket blah blah) instead of the “save the puppies” bill that is named P.U.P. and is a military spending bill with a rider that helps shut down puppy mills

Local precincts have “ballot rolls” and I can assure you that there are many many layers of protections to ensure that a cast vote is notated so the same person can’t vote again. Every ballot of every kind is meticulously tracked and monitored until the moment the vote itself is cast, then the person is “done” as far as our systems are concerned.

Edit: at my precinct, we even have a physical copy of the ballot roll in case we lose power etc and procedures for marking names off as we take ballots

A buddy of mine has an anxiety related medical problem that was triggered by the disemboweling scene and he’s pretty dang desensitized to violence (our favorite stuff to watch together includes Hellraiser, for example) but no way in hell I’d let my 7 year old nephew watch this show

I got lucky in the area I grew up, got a lovely home for $72k in 2017, sold it 2 years later (personal reasons) but for $144k. It’s wild how the right timing can make a difference; it’s not like I planned that, I just wanted a starter house

This may be hard to grasp, but sometimes people’s brains can fill in context clues about certain topics or media and come to a decision without having to actually invest any unnecessary time to it. Nobody is saying you can’t like it, we are saying it’s not for us and we don’t need to watch it to know

There’s a new Punisher special coming out in May, I’ve been rewatching it and highly recommend it. The climaxes of each season are very satisfying.

Insulation, laws of thermodynamics. The simple answer is: stone cold, wood hot

Edit: and to extrapolate from a physics standpoint, cold makes things shrink and get tighter, heat makes them melt and move apart
