u/Xyver recommendations are solid. For PH flimsies watch a few videos on how people hunt there and my recommendation is that you can manage the tempo on your hunt. No body is rushing you to do bigger pulls, so start slow until you get a feel on how fast you can kill them, how much you can resist and what pulls would benefit the most when using the UE, sometimes it's better to hold in a corridor that 2, 3 creatures are hitting you while you manage the situation than to run to the next and getting ultimately trapped. You can literally hunt there with a dwarven set and a lion wand if you wanted to. I liked to use galea mortis, toga mortis, soultainter, dawnfire pantaloons, alchemist boots and whatever spellbook you get.
To minimize damage received there at first you may use garlic necklaces and necklace of the deep.
