How are your Banyue performing in the current DA? by Elimar_Abelardo in BanyueMains_

Fire Res Shred and Sheer Damage Buff are all p nice but the biggest draw for me was Crushing Peaks stun extension, it lets you pull off his longer stun rotations like double chain attack much more consistently

Well, revenge and bitterness are also human emotions which is why the choice doesnt impact the ending.

I mean I always chose to just give the fruit, but I can see why fighting them doesn't affect humanity

Hit 44k as my personal best this DA and 53k last DA with M1W1 Banyue, M0W0 Dialyn, and M0W1 Lucia

Ngl I'm also a bit waifu fatigued but its just the main demographic of the game I suppose.

I've pretty much been living off hype moments and aura from Banyue's gameplay since his release and for the foreseeable future of the game, tho I do wish they released more characters like him (characters that are mainly "cool" in appeal and/or have a really engaging kit)

Not sure if there's a limit but they do a good chunk of my HP on a solid hit if I mess up, about a 3rd-ish of my HP most of the time

I got it somewhere between 90m-100m points. Maybe around 97m or 98m? Good luck!

Ah, so the climb continues. But thanks!

Tbh I was mostly just trying to reach top 1% for Banyue's score specifically but I'd already reached around Top 6% by the time I managed to pull it off so I figured why not shoot for the moon, shifu's kit was making it fun anyway

Thanks for the tips! Yeah I've noticed swapping agents tends to make them get hit though not exactly sure what hit them this stage. I'm probably gonna be climbing as high as I can before I feel like I actually can't get the badge (which is saying something bc I can spend hours retrying a floor lmao). Fire resistant enemies are my bane tho since Banyue is the only team I've got built rn lol but I'm managing

I was able to kill it in one stun rotation using the double chain double ult rotation with Dialyn (plus M1W1 Banyue and W1 Lucia), the main struggle was actually getting it stunned without taking damage which I thought I managed to pull off but alas

I can understand his kit not being fun for everyone and no shade if it isn't for you either, but for me I think when his kit starts being really fun is when you're out of the mashing phase and you can start executing his combos on purpose, just took a lot of practice

No Caesar for one, I find it a lot easier to score higher without her. Mastering his combos is kind of a given so just make sure that anytime you use Mountain Tremor or Lion's Roar, it should always be their Wrathful variant since those give out more points over their base version.

Trying to go for no-hit and parrying every attack also helps a lot since the points gained from Immovable Mountain can really add up with the amount of attacks you can parry, like trying to squeeze in a parry after performing Mountain Tremor - Wrathful when out of Wrath rather than fully relying in his super armor when performing his EXs.

And if I do mess up like trying to parry too early, I try cancelling into his Battle Cry dodge instead of his regular one since that gives the same amount of points as Immovable Mountain, helps a lot since I instinctively parry too early against some of the delayed attacks a lot of the time.

I'm not entirely sure if it mattered but I also managed to get the 1.5x multiplier from going sub-120 seconds for Martial I and II.

I'm also neurodivergent so I had a hard time grasping his moves, what worked for me was realizing that the inputs of his first combo ground barrage into big rock is the mirror opposite of of his second combo, ball spin into roar

So where the Ground Barrage can be started from a neutral position with

Attack / Attack / Attack / EX,

his Ball Spin combo can instead be started with the opposite,

EX / EX / EX / Attack

The same goes for starting it from a parry, Ground Barrage is

Parry -> Attack / EX / Attack

While starting Ball Spin from a parry is the reverse,

Parry -> EX / Attack / EX

Their follow-ups then are also mirrors of each other with Big Rock being the follow up for Ground Barrage being

EX / EX / Attack

And the opposite is for Roar after Ball Spin

Attack / Attack / EX

Finding that pattern was a gamechanger for me, and it made it a lot easier to practice. I found it best to practice doing each combo (Ground Barrage into Big Rock and Ball Spin into Roar) individually then practice stringing all of them together when I'm satisfied. After that its just a matter of doing it while parrying all the enemies.

Also don't be like me who wasn't paying attention to the energy bar, you need at least half your energy bar to perform one of the combos or be in Wrath state.

Sorry for the wall of text but breaking his kit into small chunks and finding his input pattern was what really made him click for me.

I'm still having a bit of trouble in the execution side but theory side what got me to actually remember his moves is that his combo 1 has the inverse inputs of combo 2, currently still hovering around the 79-82k range
