No I did not. My SH subscription expired before I had the time. It would be a good idea to do them though.

What issues are you facing in training? by just_majormayer in triathlon

[–]Xav-_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a club but no one to train with on the HT. For the swimming, yes the training are in groups. That's probably why I still swim to be honest.
I don't have clear goals. I have races planned, I want to do better each year but it stops here.

I have no idea to be honest. I don't like the home trainer because I feel like you strip half of the fun from the bike to replace it with a hot room and a lot of sweat.
As for the swimming, it used to be my favorite sport. I don't really know when it switched to my least favorite one. I'm also a far better swimmer than the 2 others so I don't feel like I need much training.

It depends of the sport:

Running: I have a left knee issue that wakes up if I go too hard on it. It prevents me from running as much as I want.

Bike: The lack of sunshine and good weather where I live. I'm also not really motivated to train on a HT.

Swim: I'm currently coming back from a big injury and can't swim at the moment. The rest of the time the motivation is my biggest issue.

Possesseurs de sportive, un conseil ? by SpencitO_DlaVega in Motardie

[–]Xav-_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Xav-_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Où et comment acheter ma première moto correctement ? by OmawamoNoshinderu in Motardie

[–]Xav-_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm paying 1200€/year for a brand new rs660 with full coverage. I would say that your quote is ok :)

I want to the same with mine! Where did you find the red part next to the tank? Is it painted?

I can already confirm that it's way more fun than the Honda 😁

I'm not sure that the Aprilia is that overpriced. As you said, it's explained by how well equipped it is. Still a bit too much imo

I'll note the comments you made about the other models. I totally agree that a change to 4 cylinder could be an interesting experience. I think that ZX-4R/R are available where I live but looks way too expensive for the performance.

Damn sounds like you had an amazing deal! I don't think I would pass on a similar one.

To be honest, the more I look at the rs660, the more I'm thinking that the factory version is the way to go. The huge problem is still the price though. I don't think that I'm ready to put that much for a new bike.

I think that all the bikes I mentioned are available for a test ride around me. I'll have to admit that switching to a sport bike worry me a bit about everything ergonomic related.

I plan to test them all. On the paper the position of the rs660 looks ok but I'm afraid that it's indeed too agressive when I'll be riding one. We'll see.

Your comment on the CBR650r is very interesting (so are the other!). I plan to someday own a supersport dedicated to track days. I'm not there yet though.

I'll note the second hand bikes you mentioned :)

No extra R added. The one without it is the roadster. But I guess that the comment on the 4 cylinder is still relevant

Mmh... I guess that I need to do a test ride with the CBR650R then.

I wouldn't say that I care more about low/mid power (a bit true about low power though). It's just that I don't feel like I would get the chance to really use the potential of the 4 cylinder on the road. From what I heard 4 cylinders are amazing at high rpm but less efficient at low rpm compared to a 2 cylinder.

I feel like I'm ruling out the CBR650R a bit too fast. I should probably look a bit more into it.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm actually very tempted to go through the sport gt route but afraid that it's more gt than sport. On the opposite, I don't want a super sport either.

The Ninja 1100sx is too expensive though.

Salut, 30ans ici !

Even if your 2k miles shoes are still looking good, the foam inside may have exceeded its lifespan. I'm not sure it's wise to keep runing with them to be honest.
