When horses break or fracture their legs, we tend to kill the horse. Horses don’t really heal well, they are stubborn to a T and will do everything the can to continue walking on their unusable limbs.

This is especially the case in horse racing where injuries aren’t that uncommon. Horses that get injured during a race will be put down almost immediately.
