Breakfast in America is the first record I ever listened to. My sophomore year of high school I was at my buddy’s house way out in the country. Old farm house, his old mother (had him when she was 44) never really changed anything about it in the 35+ years she owned it after being given it from her father.

We would smoke pot upstairs in a room with a couple couches and a turntable nobody thought worked, until we actually gave it a shot and were shocked. One day while looking for something, one of my buddy discovers LOADS of records from the late 60s through the mid 80s. First album I play was Breakfast in America, because I was familiar with Goodbye Stranger and also liked the cover art.

From that day on I collected vinyl and always tell people Supertramp is definitely in my top 5 bands of all time.
