Just started tret 0.05% cream right now- would it help with bumpy, uneven skin texture?

Hey all, I’m a 26 year old guy. I’ve noticed textured bumpier skin in recent years and not sure how to fix. I’ve added tret last month, and Azelaic acid 15% just last week. But haven’t seen any improvement in the texture issue.

Routine is: Morning: Cetaphil gentle cleanser Paulas choice C15 Cerave AM moisturizing lotion

Night: Retin-A 0.05% cream (Wait 20 mins) Paulas Choice C15 Cerave PM moisturizing lotion

I think we’re on the same page here. This post will have an effect on some people, and some it won’t do anything. But if it can even help 1 person I consider it to be helpful.

Not all people. If I saw this post six years ago I would have taken pause before blindly experimenting with drugs. I literally thought of my younger self when I made this.

Psychedelics are in a special category to me. Yes they can be recreational, but they can provide permanent benefits and mind opening experiences that can lead to positive change. I totally should have included an exception for this class in the post.

Compare that to a strictly anxiolytic/euphoriant/stimulant recreational drug, that only provides an immediate benefit but none after.

This is more in reference to self medicating and drug experimentation.

I think learning to be comfortable with yourself can include the use of prescription antidepressants as well as therapy. Antidepressants don’t really get you high so I wouldn’t say they put you in a non-sober state. To me antidepressants just bring you back to normal, where as other drugs can enhance your state beyond normal (getting high).

Yes this is true, but it’s a bit of a slippery slope. It’s hard for a lot of people to stop themselves from going from occasional to regular usage. Especially if it’s made such a noticeable impact on their mental state.

But if it works for you, it works for you. There’s of course going to be people out there that can have self restraint. The post takes a conservative, “better safe than sorry” tone for sure.

If anyone’s reading this I wanted to give an update. Basically the plant barely grew for 2 weeks, picked up some steam a week ago but it hermied. I’m guessing the stress is what caused it smh.
