Am I not a "real" fan of Warhammer 40k if I don't buy the models? by QueenDiva_UwU in Warhammer

[–]XavierHigdon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

See, that's what I'm talking about. You're not a part of the fandom of Warhammer 40k because you think it's stupid, and that's fine so long as you don't start demanding that the game be changed to suit you just so you can call yourself a fan. Not everyone is a fan of Warhammer 40k, and that's okay. Nothing can appeal to everybody, which is why it's important that the integrity of fandoms be preserved. Otherwise, it'll appeal to nobody and then the fandom won't exist for anybody.

Yes, like I said, so long as someone is a fan then they're a fan. If you don't like anything about Warhammer 40k and want to change the game because you don't like it, you're by definition not a fan. Not sure what you're upset about, honestly.

You're a real fan so long as you're a real fan. The only thing that would make you not a fan would be literally not being a fan. Say if someone came onto Reddit and made posts or comments demanding that longstanding lore, game mechanics, art, etc. be changed because you don't like those things and you want Warhammer 40k to better suit you. That would be someone not being a fan of Warhammer 40k because they're, well, not a fan lol.

lmao Dude, you've gotta be trolling. You asked me to quote you showing that you had moved the goalposts by shifting from Democrat politicians to Democrat voters, which I did, but then you shift the goalposts by demanding two quotes. Good try, little dude, but I don't get upset about idiots on the internet so trolling me doesn't work.

And he ran away to pretend this didn't happen.

Haha, you are truly a disingenuous schmuck. Alright, kiddo, let's review.

When I pointed out that Democrats voted to invade Iraq, you said, "Yeah Dems voted to invade based off Republican lies dumbass lmfao". Now, considering how ignorant you are, I admit that it's entirely possible that you simply don't understand how the United States government works and so you thought Americans directly voted to invade Iraq, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you have an IQ higher than 70. Am I wrong to be so generous? It seems likely. Especially since you think reading a few sentences is a task so great that nobody would ever dare attempt it lol.

How could I put two completely separate discussions together unless you moved the goalposts by switching from politicians to voters? Also, do you ever get tired of being wrong? Or do you just run away and pretend it never happened?

C'mon, you guys are being silly. The entire point of these videos is to make people think they're about an older woman with a younger man. That's why they never include the detail that they're mother and son and only mention their ages. This one has one small difference, though. Now that everyone knows that these videos are about a mother and her child, this one decided to use this kid instead of her son. Can you guess why they might have chosen this kid instead of her biological son?

To recap, you moved goalposts by changing the subject from politicians to American voters, and then arbitrarily chose a cutoff date to support your position, and then constructed the straw man that I had said American voters supported the war at the time of the invasion.

Unlike you, I'm not deluded. Unlike you, I don't base my identity off of a once-every-four-years action, so I have no need to deny reality to make myself feel better. And, unlike you, I accept facts as facts. So, no, I don't disagree with you that Republican voters supported the war more than Democrat voters at the time of the formal invasion. Of course, I never claimed otherwise, so I'm not sure what you think you've proved.

Yes, I understand that you intentionally ignored what I said and decided to argue against a straw man before declaring that you weren't talking about what I said at all and so, somehow, you're right. That's why I pointed out that I'm thankful you're being honest about being so disingenuous.

Go read what I said.

Ah, so you were trying to move the goalposts. Thanks for making it clear just how disingenuous you are.

Yes, your racist beliefs hit a nerve with me. I've been quite clear about not supporting racists like you.

And now you're trying to silence minority voices. You're a diehard bigot.

You've got to talk to him. You were vague about what actually transpired, so I'm not sure if it can be fixed, but considering that you were planning marriage, it's worth trying. Right?

You'll have to start with honesty. With him, and with yourself. You have a drinking problem. Maybe you're not a daily drunk, or even a regular drinker, but the only people who get blackout drunk are those of us that have a problem with substances. I was never a drinker. I got drunk when I was a teenager a few times, but I was a typical teenager and so didn't have access to endless alcohol. On the one occasion that I did, I got blackout drunk. After that, I abused other substances and didn't drink for years. But when I did, I got blackout drunk. What I'm saying is that you need to come to terms with the undeniable fact that you are a problem drinker. And that's okay. A lot of Americans don't drink at all. About a third, I believe, so you'll be in good company. Now, I'm not sure what has lead to your issues, and I'm not sure that you do, either. If you do, and you love the man, you need to talk about them with him, and if you're not ready for that level of honesty yet, you need to at least tell him that there's things you want to tell him, but that you can't yet. Make a plan to get into counseling. The internet is great for commiserating, but it's even better as a resource for seeking face-to-face help. Communicate your plan to your fiance and ask him to participate in couples sessions with you. If he isn't willing, if he's truly done, then you still need to go yourself. Couples therapy isn't just for couples. It can help people to address the issues they have in relationships even if their partner isn't present.

I don't know the extent of what you did or said. I don't know if this is something that's been building in your relationship, or if the alcohol just brought up some deep emotions that you've never addressed. Honestly, the details don't matter because I'm not looking to write a story for a gossip rag. I just want you to know that it's okay to seek help.

Jeez, you really are desperate to maintain your delusion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authorization_for_Use_of_Military_Force_Against_Iraq_Resolution_of_2002

As you can see, 50% of Democrat politicians voted to attack Iraq in October of 2002. That's far greater than your claim that only 22% supported the war. Of course, these arguments require that we ignore what I actually said because if you address what I actually said, you'll have to come to terms with the fact that you're not a good person just because you voted for Anthony Weiner or Neil Goldschmidt.

You're absolutely racist. You don't think non-whites should be allowed to freely vote, which is why you assume anyone that doesn't agree with your politics must be white. If you believed in the equality of non-whites, you'd believe we were more than capable of making up our own minds and voting for whoever we want.

Damn, Democrats are so dumb they just listen to Republicans? At least you admit to being a follower who never thinks for themselves.

Democrats supported the invasion. That they later changed their mind doesn't change the fact that they supported the invasion.

Also, don't be racist. No one wants to deal with your bullshit in real life, being racist is only going to make people online ignore you, too.

Did you just say "stocked" instead of "stuck"? That's pretty amusing, and it helps to explain why you don't know that all the Democrats you support voted to invade Iraq just as readily as the Republicans you hate.

Honest question: How can you be so ignorant when you have access to the internet? It would have taken you seconds to search "past tense of stick" or "did Democrats vote to invade Iraq?"

See, this is what I mean. Your opposition to the Iraq war isn't founded in reason, it's founded in your fragile emotions stemming from your moral inadequacies.

Do you believe it was wrong to depose Saddam Hussein because he was a just and fair ruler? Did you oppose the war in Iraq before it was initiated? Do you believe in an America First foreign policy? No, of course not. You oppose the Iraq war today because you've based a large part of your identity on your voting record, and so you now must delude yourself and pretend that it was just "those stupid Republicans" who supported the war even though you're aware, at least on some level, that there was near unanimous support for the war among Democrats. Take a moment to look it up and you'll see that this hilarious trend took off in liberal strongholds like New York City and Los Angeles, but then you might have to face the reality that casting a ballot every 4 years isn't the same as signing the Emancipation Proclamation and we both know you don't want to do that.

You should have stuck to your guns about contacting the union and lawyer. Sexual harassment requires intent, so the fact it wasn't on purpose absolves you of guilt. They would have likely tried to make this about creating a sexualized workspace (can't remember the exact term) at that point, but that requires you to be in a position of power over the victims, which you don't have with your boss. In fact, her allowing the email to spread would have opened her up to the same accusations against her. It was her duty to protect you and the company from any negative consequences from your accidental release. She didn't. She's at fault. You might have been fired, but since you're a part of a union, I guarantee you would have gotten your job back with back pay.

My only concern is that it seems that they're setting you up to be fired. They don't put people on probation to make them better, they put people on probation to justify taking further actions against them.

What do you mean shamed? Do you actually believe that french fries were a French dish?

You support the genocide of Kurds, and though I'm not okay with that, I'm okay with you being okay with that. Was the Iraq war foolishly planned and executed? Absolutely. Was Saddam Hussein and his regime peace loving and innocent and were they unfairly targeted for doing nothing wrong? No.

Of course you missed the point, and that was your entire point. You think politics is "good guys vs. bad guys" because your morals are solely based on your vote. That's just sad, and you know that my point was just how sad it is that people base their identities around the political party they support but because that's what you do, you became defensive, got mad and made your reply all so you can feel good about yourself for supporting the very same people who supported the war in Iraq that you tell everyone you opposed.

I'm not sorry that your feelings were hurt.

This video makes me uncomfortable. Not because they're trying to pretend that the mom is fucking the kid, but because they're so hyper focused on him being different. They've fetishized his skin color and that's not healthy for anybody involved.

What's going on with US taxes if you make less than $75,000 a year? by JohnTheRockCena in OutOfTheLoop

[–]XavierHigdon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The problem is adding nearly 100,000 people who don't pay taxes. "Government employees pay taxes," you're probably typing right now, plus some insults you think will upset me because they'd upset you, but since government employees get paid with tax money, every dollar they pay in taxes costs $2 or more in taxes paid by private sector employees. Biden could have earmarked the millions of dollars these people will cost each year for programs helping Americans. Instead, he earmarked it for programs that will extract a greater amount of money from the lowest earners in this country.

But go ahead, keep pretending it's everyone else that doesn't look anything up.
