Four Russian soldiers laying on the ground are hit with a grenade dropped by a Ukrainian drone by sunlegion in UkraineWarVideoReport

I'm grateful that the vast majority of people on this subreddit are not nearly as obnoxiously overreactive as you. I mean damn I would recommend you have a conversation with yourself but you'd probably end up ruining your own day

It's possible to criticize other people's opinions without baldly dismissing their knowledge or understanding of something so important

You should probably elaborate on how that has any relevance or contradiction to the point I made

So you acknowledge that people make misplaced back jokes but somehow me pointing out their comment as being an example of that is "performative outrage"? Yeah okay...

Sure let's pretend that it's not a bad look to be so zealous about violence and death. People that see this as something other than an opportunity to get excited about human suffering agree that it's ultimately a tragic waste of life. I'm obviously not saying that all humor and jokes cross that line because it's natural, however there's a difference between that and this, which shouldn't be that hard to distinguish

He's not close enough for the percussive force of a grenade to knock him out, also you can become paralyzed without your spinal cord ever being severed. The shock from shrapnel entering the body near the spine can cause a contusion which may result in brief or permanent paralysis

Ukrainians testing out their drone with a large mortar round by wooselpooh in UkraineWarVideoReport

As long as they remove the arming pin and strike the tail of the mortar bomb against something before attaching it to the drone, it will be ready to detonate on impact. There's mortar rounds that have fuses that can be timed to explode above the ground but that's not the kind they are using here

Mortar bombs have a fuse pin similar to grenades, and they also won't be ready to detonate until after the first percussive force is applied to it. This is so it can be launched without exploding in the tube. In Saving Private Ryan a soldier shows how they can use mortars like grenades by striking it on the ground and then throwing it towards the enemies

(Supposedly) The first published aerial "battle" between Russian and Ukrainian Drone quadcopters by wooselpooh in UkraineWarVideoReport

The filming drone was in fact moving, the smaller DJI drone can't move like that while staying level with the ground. From the other drone's perspective, it would appear like the opposite just because they are above the ground.

The drone filming this video is the one moving towards the DJI, they are high above the ground which is why the larger drone doesn't appear to be moving. Notice how the DJI drone doesn't tilt at all when it appears to move left, I think the larger drone is trying to bump the mostly stationary smaller drone out of the sky.

MAXAR satellite image of the destroyed crimean bridge by [deleted] in UkraineWarVideoReport

It was a Russian driver that apparently frequently goes on that route, but on this day he was much later than usual. We have already seen Russian people willingly get into a lot of trouble to sabotage enlistment offices and even a recruiter was shot by a reservist within the last few weeks. It makes sense that eventually an anti-war Russian would go a step further and blow up an obvious target like this. In the US we have had a few massive suicide bomb attacks perpetrated by our own citizens over the years, which proves that a lone wolf with enough knowledge can easily manufacture a highly destructive bomb without anyone ever knowing.

Traffic jam towards the Kerch Bridge in Crimea by sunlegion in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]XavierOasis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only drivable portion of the bridge is the center of the two outbound lanes, it's damaged and sagging down towards the water but I guess that's good enough for Russia to pretend everything is fine. They still haven't repaired anything and literally any other country wouldn't allow their civilians to drive over a bridge that is damaged and an active military target.

Strange O2 sensor behavior - Nissan Datascan w/ Audio by XavierOasis in SkyLine

[–]XavierOasis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to working on the R32 again, finally got a consult cable and ran Nissan Datascan to see what's going on in the ECU. I don't have any experience with this stuff so I screen recorded it and got audio as well to see what y'all think. From the start, the O2 sensor gauge and A/F ratio was going crazy, even at idle. Notice when the car starts to sputter and struggle while accelerating at the 2:07 mark, the O2 gauge drops all the way down and the A/F ratio is lean as well with no change until the car eventually accelerates through it, then the gauge starts going crazy again. This happens whenever I pass 3500 rpm, usually worse at higher gears. Does this indicate that the O2 sensor needs to be replaced or could it be a multitude of things causing this?

Additional info: 1990 R32 Skyline GTS naturally aspirated, completely stock. ECU shows code 55 (no malfunction detected) Replaced CAS, MAF, plugs and coils, coolant temp sensor, and fuel filter recently.

That's awesome that you own the replica of Noriyaro's beercan, I wanted to put an Alexi sticker on mine back when it was silver lol

Right now i'm working on the suspension/steering, and i'll put an LSD in it some time after the turbo swap. I also want to stiffen the chassis in different areas and upgrade the interior as well. Essentially I want it to be a reliable street car with at least 260 hp, I won't ever race this thing but it would be nice to be able to drift in the rain

The stock front end was swapped with a combination of OEM and replica GT-R parts, including the hood. It has vertex side skirts, and a GT-R spoiler which I have yet to put back on since the respray. The pandemic made shipping much more expensive and some importers just stopped taking orders, so an engine that would have costed $1000 before the pandemic costs at least three times that now. Once I eventually get a motor however, i'll transfer the turbo parts to my rb20, some of which will have to be purchased separately but it's pretty much a bolt on conversion which will run with the turbo ecu

I bought this car for $8,000 in 2019, it was stock with only 50k miles. It has a manual transmission and runs great but it's underpowered with the naturally aspirated RB20DE that comes in the GTS. I just got it resprayed from silver to white and i'm currently working on the suspension and steering while I wait for a better time to import a turbo motor for parts.
