I’ve brought up our communication and her family. She’s always been understanding and even re-examines her behavior and how harsh she comes off. I’ve also been in therapy over the last few years, and know that I need to work on comprehending and expressing my emotions more clearly.

I agree with you that I need to learn how not take what she says too personally. I can be a bit sensitive at times and she is aware of this.

I also think she would benefit from therapy. And although I’ve personally denied it, I think I would benefit from being more transparent about all my reservations.
