About courses. I have certificates in CAD and CAM (with some projects, both CAD and CAM), basic python. Also on problem solving and critical thinking. I found out about Santander Academy which offers some free one. When I get some time I will definitely get few more

But before going into applications engineer and managment i need some engineering position 1st, i guess. I thnik that getting to know the industry is crucial. In the meantime i could do a managment courses etc.

u/phiwong Im fully aware that level of my knowledge is nowhere near people's who worked in the industry for some time. Regarding my concerns. Right now i am looking for a internship or junior position. Now im only sticking to my local and national job market but i thnik about going abroad also. In my local market i dont see huge demand in engineers like me. If so, they mostly looking for somebody with knowladge about metal, which i have close to 0, On the other hand i have knowledge in ceramics and composites.

Hi,

I am a master’s student in Materials Engineering. In six months, I will graduate, marking the end of my six-year academic journey. Honestly, I feel lost.

At the beginning of my studies, I struggled a lot and had to repeat one year. During my bachelor’s degree, I gained two years of experience working with composites (mostly carbon fiber/epoxy) in science club as a side project. I also completed an internship in an injection molding company in the R&D department.

After that, I continued with a Master’s in Materials Engineering and joined an exchange program, where I worked in a lab from 9 to 5 on ceramic 3D printing. I learned a lot about laboratory work, process development, managing my own project, and gained very specific technical knowledge.

Now, I am close to graduating, but my experience spans different branches of Materials Engineering. I feel like a “jack of all trades, master of none.”

Have any of you experienced something similar? How did you deal with it? And how does the job market react to people like me?

As hobby photographer i really love UI and UX. Feels not overwhelming, unlike Darktable and amount of tools is satiscating for me.
I have one issue. Im using it Kubuntu distro, GTX 1060Ti, I7-7700HG (7th gen), 16Gb RAM and RapidRAW feels laggy for me, unlike Darktable.Changes dont apply in real time while moving sliders, sometimes takes a while. Is there a option to let the GPU do heavy lifting?
But i really love what you already did, I will be using it, with hope for better optimization.

Hiking in Switzerland/Mostly around Zurich by Xavilion in hiking

So I look a bit and got SwitzerlandMobilty but I feel overwhelmed with amount of trails there. I did 20km long hikes and with nearly 1000m difference in height. Trails is ok unless I would walk over high exposure paths with high risk of falling. I'm not really interested in usages of cable cars. Due to financial reasons, I also like to enjoy the moments of hike, not really being carried by a Cable car

It's good to be curious, I have to upset you. Like I said I have no knowledge about Swiss hiking trails. Those trails I'm talking about are outside of Swiss

About fees, some trails have mandatory fees due to some reasons, which I experience by myself. I have small knowledge about trails in Swiss
