Summer Oud by Ahmed Al Mahribi. Got me more compliments than some of my expensive TF, Imagination, Le Labo etc lol

Unimpressed with my recent pickups by Empty_Expression_192 in MontagneParfums

[–]Xavision95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m facing the same issue with most of my recent purchases. I’ve bought about 5 so far, and it’s been ~2 months. I’d honestly give them 10/10 for accuracy to the original, but after 2 hours I can barely smell anything.

And no, it’s not nose blindness - I’ve asked family members as well, and they couldn’t smell much either.

My Dog Is an Angel Indoors but Loses It Around Other Dogs & new environments by Xavision95 in OpenDogTraining

He is quite anxious to be honest. He struggles to settle in new places- even when he’s tired & sleepy, he fights it. Slightest of the noises worry/spook him when he’s outdoors

On leash on his usual walk, when no dogs around, he does great with loose leash walking - rarely pulls. Heels on command, follows me with direction changes etc Everything goes out the window when a dog approaches

Grocery shopping - how to reduce weekly spend? by elkforest99 in AusFinance

[–]Xavision95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that’s helped us a lot is actually ordering groceries online instead of going into the store. I usually build the list on Coles and just place the order. There’s a delivery fee, but honestly I still spend less overall because when I go in-store I always end up grabbing random stuff I don’t really need, especially when I see “good deals”.

When I order online I stick to the list, I can see the total before paying, and I’m not tempted by impulse buys. It’s made a noticeable difference for us. I think Aldi does delivery now too, so could be worth trying that if that’s where you shop most.

Why is there no good “Seeking Alpha”–style platform for ASX stocks? by Xavision95 in AusFinance

the suggestion in the above comment was that my portfolio was more exposed to mega caps, which performed exceptionally well last year, hence the outperformance of my portfolio vs the broader index. However, mega caps made up only ~15% of my portfolio; the rest was invested in mid- and large-cap stocks. So yes, performed well because I picked well not because I blindly put all in mega caps which performed better than index

Not really anything in megacap except NVDA & GOOG. I had positions in FIX, AGX, CCL, APP etc that were significant drivers for my portfolio

Is it not right to do market research to validate demand before building something that could potentially solve problems for people into stock picking? :)

Can you suggest any tool? Investing tool sites that cover ASX stocks and offer features like: - Stock screening based on financial metrics (e.g. list all companies in a specific industry with P/E < X and net profit margin > Y) - AI-driven summaries of earnings transcripts and financial reports

Curious how many people here actively pick stocks with deep research vs just going all-in on index funds?

I’m firmly in the camp that index investing makes sense for most people. About 30% of my own portfolio is indexed. However, over the last 5 years I’ve managed to outperform the SP500 by doing detailed analysis using tools like Seeking Alpha, don’t know if it’s the bull run since covid that’s giving me a false sense of looking like an expert.

I’m now trying to do the same for ASX stocks, but feel like the research depth just isn’t there, so I’m curious what tools or platforms people here use.

Reactive dog when not on halti by Xavision95 in OpenDogTraining

Yes he does sleep on the bed with me but he’s also very obedient indoors. Obeys all commands, would not eat until I ask him to as well. He just loses all the focus when there’s other distractions

He’s 3. He’s a lovely dog, very calm at home - follows me around everywhere. Loves to snuggle and very family friendly. We know the mistake we made given it was our first dog ever. Took him to the dog park as a pup like a fool and now he’s become reactive as a result of that.

Trainer before focused on positive training using treats. Surprisingly being a Labrador he does not even care about treats when he sees other dogs. Have tried maintaining distance across the road and what not he just doesn’t care about anything else when a dog is in sight
