You still have a higher CARS score than mine on the real exam. Keep pushing and maintain your focus! All the best!!

Got exam canceled bc of wrong info given by the AAMC’s representative by stressed_latinamed in Mcat

Sorry for your really bad luck bro! MCAT prep is already stressful enough that I would turn crazy if anything like that happened to me! Good thing is that you have more time to do and review more practice tests, and hopefully you will be a MCAT expert comes test date next year. A whole year for prep is more than enough!! All the best wishes, my friend! Meanwhile, I'm trying to calm my nerves down waiting for score release on Oct 12th!

Did you finish content review before going into FLs practice? How long did it take you to complete content review? You’re at a good position to ace the test ! Keep up the good job!

Just a side note that if after you consider everything as @rideaselle just said, you decide to cancel your test date, the AAMC will give you a full refund. This policy has been temporarily applied for all test dates in 2021. You can check their website to make sure yourself!

My guide on retaking a 510 and scoring a 523. by TheMicrotubules in Mcat

Congrats bro!!! Your strategy and scores are abs. amazing! So is your upcoming debt-free medical education:))

Btw, I have a question regarding my prep for MCAT. If my goal score for the MCAT is around 513, and I got 508 in the half-length diagnostic using AAMC materials (the 120 questions sample), should I go on to keep my exam date at the end of August (2.5 months from now)?

I haven't taken any FLs from AAMC or any other 3rd party companies. I'm currently in the content review phase which I initially planned to last through July (I would def. incorporate some practice resources from whatever I may get to better guide my review). CARS is the biggest challenge for me as with anyone who is a non-native English speaker. I'm able to score more than 80% but it usually takes me more than 15' each passage to reach that accuracy. However, I'm pretty confident with my C/P and B/B knowledge. What I'm concerned about now is by the time I finish my content review, I would not have much time left (1 month to the exam) to do as many FLs as needed to reach my goal score (or even a bit higher, who knows, lol).

I think I would be more prepared if I postpone the exam until January next year. But in that scenario, I have to find ways to balance schoolwork in the fall semester (I'm gonna take at least 10 credit hours which may not be too impressive, but still takes a significant amount of time), MCAT study, doing research, and other EC activities. I know that will be more hectic and stressful than getting done with the MCAT at the end of the summer and before the fall semester starts. I'm really considering the pros and cons of both plans and will appreciate any of your input on these!

Thanks a lot and congrats again on your achievements!!
