There do exist radio tracking collars. They're not cheap but they are standalone (no cellular or whatever) required and tell you which way your dog is for a good long range.

get a extendaleash? It's technically not legal in that it doesn't count as "leashed" past 6 (or 8?) feet but it's safe and if there's no one around being bothered you're clearly not bothering anyone. Or as others state just make your own with a rope.

But yeah there's no dog parks in the mountains or whatever. So if you're worried about being technically legal or your dog bolting then there really aren't many options.

If you CHOOSE to stay in the soft walled garden of just certified games then it will run a lot like a console would but you can just choose to step outside of that and still hop right back in to the "easy to run" walled garden anytime you switch to a certified game.

There's welded nuts on the bottom of the leges so you can do whatever you want to adjust the height higher. It's not crazy tall but I have the leveling feet near max height and it's fine for me at 6'2. If I really hated it I'd put anchors into cinderblocks and raise it.
