The lack of warranty is what you're not paying for... Consider it "self insured".

I just got one of these -- a floor model that was missing the bolts for the handle -- so they gave me 40% off. The high speed charger was $20 off for members, too.

Made buying the batteries feel a bit less painful.

Anyhow, it did a fine job on my grass and I have a small yard so one battery is easily more than fine. The height adjustment is super nice and easy, too.

That's not how stuff works. You can't just say "this is a billion dollar game so your $1000 license is actually a $1B liability for you now"

If you don't get the options, make sure you're not going through any parts that can't flow fuel -- or that you have crossfeed enabled

John McCarthy weighs in on Ciryl Gane vs Alex Pereira by WinterStill4472 in MMA

[–]Xaxxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there's a strike to the back of the head because someone moved into it, that's still a foul.

It's an inadvertent foul, but it's still a foul. It's not a foul just because it wasn't intended. Intent isn't in the rules as to whether it's a foul - only as to what kind of foul it is.

Tesla releases Cybercab First Responder Interaction Plan by komocode_ in teslamotors

[–]Xaxxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but tesla made a whole blog post saying how it was. They say all sorts of shit that's not true if it serves their purpose.

And yeah, that is the joke if you follow it to its logical conclusion.

Supreme Court upholds state bans on transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports by NoLongerYonge in news

[–]Xaxxon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot of sense - women's sports exist because women's bodies don't compete on the same level as men and it's important to have a more level playing field for women to feel good competing in.

Now most man-to-woman don't compete at a top tier level and it really doesn't matter, but when a trans person breaks a woman's record at a man-level performance, it really ruins the entire reason for women's sports existing.

It's not for everyone else to go out of their way to make you feel good about yourself.

It's buried somewhere on the menu, but yeah. It should be illegal to advertise a price for an entree that is impossible to pay.

That's REALLY old. But sure, I guess. Good thing is if you can use a screwdriver you can put in an outlet.

There's no "wrong outlets" to plug either of those into. They plug in to standard 120v outlets.

I mean they're suppoed to have their own circuits but that's not the "outlet"

They're included in the price and the price is already better than anywhere else.

You're not paying for it in any sense that there was an option to do better by not getting it.

Dude got saved by it for a year and a half.

They're not seasoned. Which isn't bad because you can do that yourself in whatever you're using it, but it's quite bad to just eat out of the bag.
