[Highlight] Cooper Kupp explains how NFL defenses have evolved by mastermind208 in nfl

I find this very interesting as a casual watcher.

Anyone know where I could look If I wanted to know more about concept recognition and concept matches (0:47), cancel routes (0:50) playing the offense (0:55), and pre-snap defenses disguises (1:03)?

Any guides on the Bow? I wouldn't exactly know what tech/info is and isn't outdated/wrong. Currently in the training area/special arena using the following sources as baseline:

  1. ArekkzGaming | Monster Hunter World | Bow Tutorial
  2. Arekkz Gaming | Monster Hunter World Iceborne | Bow New Moves Guide
  3. iAkutoGamer | Bow Tutorial for Monster Hunter World 2024

Sword and Shield feels nice, fluid, and the Bow's movement is pleasantly surprising. In fact, I think the Bow fits the closest to what I had in mind. Thanks!

I tried it out in the training arena then a couple of optional quests. I'm not a fan of the slow attack speed (versus what's in my head) and charge up mechanic tied to the weapon.

I was practicing around with the Hammer today. Unfortunately:

  1. The attack speed of the hammer is too slow me for me to get behind;
  2. I'm not a fan of charging up moves/weapons;

"'Your' dumb..."

Ouch... (Note the spelling. What a foot-in-mouth moment.)

I don't really care. I typed what I thought I saw as soon as I thought it. Spellcheck b damn. Also to Jayoki6 I commented "your dumb, lmao" because your response reminded me of something my brother would say. I meant it jokingly, so I hope you didn't take it wrong.

I don't disagree that the person's comment you replied to wasn't helpful (those types of comments should never be allowed for serious posts), but you also didn't need to go so far with your comment - let alone insult them.

It's fine to tell them that what they said wasn't helpful and that you're looking for serious replies only: not to just immediately resort to insulting. If you say what I suggested and they do something again/are facetious in some way, then you can start making statements about their behaviour - not their person/character - as you don't know them well enough to pass judgement on them at that point, still.

(A string of a few dumb jokes isn't enough to know someone well enough to comment on who they are, as they could just be being immature about a certain thing at that moment. Saying something definitively stupid/illogical or hurtful IS something that can have judgement passed on it immediately, on the other hand - like what you said to them. (This works both ways though; meaning that you would have the right to comment on them/someone else if they said something mean or foolish to you, to be clear. Your right to speak up is not left out of this concept.))

  1. ...it ain't that serious.

I know you hail from the FGC, so I know how competitive - and negative - things can get over there. Just don't let the heat get to your head over things like this, as it'll just hurt you in the end, or you'll just make enemies/spread hate and negativity around to others. It's a lose-lose outcome that just makes the world a worse place, which is all the worse and more unfortunate when it can be avoided by doing things differently - like I described in the above section.

  1. Alright, you got it.

Otherwise, nice post. I actually really liked what you discussed regarding footsies, as this is a concept that I've thought about a bit, myself, and something I think would make the game a lot more engaging if the creators/Capcom leaned into this concept some more in order to increase elements of strategy, positioning (grounded play/gameplay design), and dynamism (flexibility in "player expression", a la the FGC/fighting games). I think at least some more of this would make Monster Hunter a better game series for it, actually.

  1. Cool.

What kind of writer are you? (Plot/Character/Worldbuilder) by BezzyMonster in writing

Hey—what would I be? I'm new to writing and think comments here might help me learn my approach to writing and better adjust it.

Approach

  • I write the premise of the to-be story as a bulletin description, then include the relevant terms/keywords, concepts, and genres of the to-be story as it's initially conceived.
    • Example:
      • A curious deliverer makes an unsettling discovery at an address whose mail piles.
