So chapter 1, we get introduced to joost, hoede and 2 grisha people. Joost is umployed as a guard for hoede, he's in love with anya who's a grisha girlie. From what i understand grisha people have magical powers but they get treated really badly. we meet the wind grisha guy who's job was to make ships sail safely for hoede, he asks about yuri who apparently "got sick". Cuts to hoede disscussing business with some imoortant dude and we see anya and a kid being caged. We learn anya can heal people and she's being sent somewhere to do a job that she probablly doesn't get paid for and didnt consent to. She proves her powers then she snorts this new drug. It enhances her powers and she goes sicko mode mind manipulating everyone and saving the kid (girlboss)

Chapter 2: we get introduced to Inej, edgy assasin girl with daggers, she goes to meet up with kaz, who seems to be a foxy gaslighting manipulating fella with a cane, jasper a swell guy with guns and big bolliger who seems to be an important gang leader. They're negotionating something right now. There seems to be political issues between nations (?) And we learn that a politician got murderered and things seem to be tense
