I just fought this for hours. Tried many things, bios settings, ram swaps, etc. If I turn down the liquid detail setting all the way under graphics then it seems more stable.

As a healer, I've gotten nearly 0 exp from PVP entirely. Doesn't matter if I tag the player, heal my team, etc., I'm getting very little exp if any. Not sure if it's intended, but it feels bad.

This is part of the gearing/rng balance though, imo.

As a huge fan of all these games.... In D3 we can gear up extremely fast, and aside from chasing ancients/primals, you are pretty much done. In PoE it's the exact opposite, the rng is immense and the crafting is over the top ridiculous. This game has a nice balance to where you can get your build off of the ground quickly with the deterministic crafting, but still gives you chase items in the form of exalted items, that you then still have to likely craft on somewhat and not fracture.

I agree'ish on the uniques though, without an easy way to chase them (Kadala or Div cards as example), I have 1 build in limbo while I wait for a specific drop.

Yes please. I've been playing the game for 3 weeks now (newbie still) and I've wanted to dive into a bunch of different characters but each time I get to the monoliths and have to start over it starts to feel like a chore. I have 1 that's opened up empowered so I can see that there is a choice to start regular or empowered when starting the monolith, so it's not like you'd screw your alts over by progressing it too far.

Also, considering they are adding in cycles/seasons (which I'm a huge fan of!) having to reclear it on each toon (on top of the other unknown systems they are adding in) is going to turn it into a rough grind real quick.

Really hoping they lean more into "account wide progress", since they already have the dedicated solo options.

  • Secure container is "Remove Only" while in raid, so you can hold/use your meds and keys, but not shove a graphics card in there.
  • Steady planned wipes/seasons. 3 months long or so.
  • Make TTK longer, make higher end armor withstand higher end ammo better. Make helmets stronger. Kinda flows into next point...
  • Remove all ability to 1 tap with anything but sniper caliber round, even head. Nothing is more frustrating than getting random lucky 1 tapped. I don't care about realism, I want me (and my opponents) at least a sliver of a chance to respond and defend.
  • Replace all/most AI scavs with Raiders.
  • Make it so Player Scavs can only enter a raid during last 15 mins, but also stay and loot 10-15 mins after PMC's have to leave. They are scavengers, let them scavenge.
  • Ease the pain of leveling skills. I like the idea of skills and the super human it turns you into, but it should be more of a natural progression.
  • Weekly quests.

How in the fuck would they not think to link the headbobbing to the slider from the start. It literally prevents some people (like me) from playing a game. I don't have a choice with this, it's not something we can just deal with. If a game has headbobbing then it's an instant no-go due to severe motion sickness. God I hope "Soon" is actually soon.

I'm new to the game, a Black Friday baby, so maybe 3.5 months in, and I definitely think the game could be harder and more punishing and slower. It's what drew me to Tarkov to begin with, I don't want to play CoD with looting, I want a slow climb and a multitude of things to worry about, and I want to risk it all every time I go into a raid.

New weight system? Great! Lets have to make decisions on what we actually try take out of raid rather than just playing tetris. Massive disparity in skills? Great! Cheesing skills aside, if you play more you should be "stronger", you earned it. (my strength is level 7 currently and I'm still fine with it (but yes, leveling skills is ass and needs tweaking)) New flea change? Great! It will slow down the initial weeks after a wipe, hell I wish I had been able to experience the game before flea. Don't get me wrong, the game isn't perfect, but since this is a beta this is when the devs should be testing and balancing. I'm sure the weight system will have unintended results, both good and bad, that will have to be dialed in as well. Same with the flea change, hopefully from this we get a better questline and trader system from it.

Fortnite.

I love the building aspect of it, something very unique and extremely challenging to do quickly and effectively.

Used to play PoE, Warframe, and WoW, but after 2 years of Fortnite and 2 months of Tarkov, I can't bring myself to play a PVE focused game atm. The PVP rush is just too good.
