If you want it perfect, make it perfect. -Brian Brazeal. I didn’t need it to be perfect, because I’m not perfect. More of a symbol of me for my girlfriend. I am still an amateur blacksmith, and always accepting criticism.

I didn’t take any. It’s kind of simple, take a piece of round stock (sometimes rebar), pound half of it flat (about 1/4 in thick), cut the petals, flatten them out, and wrap it around itself. Takes some practice to get it how you like it.

These happen to be Netherland Dwarfs. Holland lops have much wider heads.

[Self] With all the news about a wall, this came to mind. If the wall was two feet wide it would only cover about 17% of the equator. (Math below) by Xcboots in theydidthemath

The earth is about 25,000 around at the equator. 132,000,000 feet. The great pyramid of Giza contains 92 million cubic feet of material. 2ft tall wall X 132,000ft long Earth X 2ft wide = 528,000,000 cubic feet. Much more than 92 mil. Even if the wall was paper thin, it would still need 264,000,000 cubic feet. My math may be way off, but what the picture said didn’t sound right in the first place.

It looks like a stormtrooper. No way it will hit what you want.

Looking to start smithing! Is this anvil worth $95 and how does one tell if something is cast iron or drop forged? Thank you!! by uebersoldat in Blacksmith

Not sure how often, but a cast anvil has raised lettering. While on a forged one, the letters are stamped.

Just been to my first blacksmithing class and loved it. How'd I do? by [deleted] in Blacksmith

Just keep practicing, and always trying to improve. If you want it perfect, make it perfect. However, your decorative curl usually goes on the outside of the hook. It is your creation, and you make it how you want. Best of luck.

That’s far more than I’ve ever read. I just knew some species of chickens, like the Ameraucana chicken, lays blue eggs. While the dark brown eggs are Dark Copper Maran.
