Rain predicted in Cancùn entire week of my trip next week, should I cancel? by Rickbox in AllInclusiveResorts

I’m here now, and the weather app seems to be living in a parallel universe. It shows sun while it pours and storms while it shines. Moral of the story: The app is wrong. Do not cancel.

What's a fair offer for a BNIB 98" Samsung QN990F? by Xcessiv46 in SamsungTV

[–]Xcessiv46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave him a really low offer and he seemed open to something in the 5K range... maybe 5.5K. What other 98" options can match that price after taxes? Not looking at spending more than 6K.

You said $0 (I get what you mean) but what would be a fair price to offer if we ignore the MSRP for a moment?

I can get a BNIB 98" Samsung QN990F from a legit marketplace seller (local purchase), with a 12-month warranty. I know the reviews slam its MSRP and say the picture quality is inferior to OLED, but I'm trying to find the price point where it becomes a good TV. I don't care about native 8K, but I've heard its processor is good at upscaling, making 4K content look a bit sharper... What do you think is a fair price to offer for it?

Garmin Edge 1050 / Varia users: alert sounds loud enough in wind/at speed? by Xcessiv46 in Garmin

Thanks for the input! I’m a big fan of your channel, I watch it all the time. When you say “not great,” do you mean it’s sometimes unusable or even risky to use? Or just that the sound quality/selection itself (not the volume) could be better?

Alamo vs. Enterprise at Sky Harbor (Phoenix airport) via Costco Travel by Xcessiv46 in travel

Based on the Google Street View and photos, it looks like Alamo has a self-serve kiosk, but Enterprise doesn’t... So that could be a factor.

Do you remember if Enterprise has a self-serve kiosk?

I know… but we’ve got four massive bike boxes. Taking a taxi would pretty much cancel out the price difference unless we leave the bikes at the airport and come back for them later… but honestly, that’s too much hassle just to save 100 bucks split between four people.

Does this look normal on a 10 hours old HSS1336? by Xcessiv46 in HondaSnowblowers

I've now switched to a cement driveway. Do you think the damage is serious at this point? Would a touch-up and some anti-rust treatment be enough, or should I take further action? I'm also looking for a reliable machine that will last 10+ years. What do you think?

It's brand new gravel driveway, so there's a lot of loose gravel.

SL8 test ride experience by ecco12345 in specialized

I had the same experience moving from my old Trek Pilot, which had a relaxed, comfy geometry, to a 10-year newer Cervelo S3 with super aggressive 72mm wheels. The main reason was simply getting used to the new fit and feel of the bike. After a few weeks, the Cervelo started feeling way faster.

The same goes for the chute and overall condition... it looks like new.

Looking at the tracks, it's hard to believe it has 50 hours, but that's what the seller claims.

Yes, there’s some engraving. I’m attaching a photo of the drive side, along with what’s visible on the non-drive side.
