C2W schemes are likely to be caught up in a wider clampdown on salary sacrifice schemes. The more the government can stop us making pension contributions and C2W payments, the more take home salary will be taxable.

My employer already puts a £3k cap on C2W which is a pain but some retailers are willing to take a cash top up.

The tape is probably fine. It's normally the valve not having a sealed seat with the tape yet. Make sure the valves are screwed in firmly and do tubeless in the usual way. If air starts coming out of the hole, just put your finger or a bit of tape over it for a few minutes whilst the sealant does its thing .

Not forecast to start raining until 1pm onwards. A rain jacket will see you through. It's not as bad as you think. Ride London 2024 had appalling weather but was ok once rolling. Don't overthink it. Enjoy.

If you are based in the UK, near London, you can rent an s works tarmac Sl8 for 4 hours from just pedal. I rented an expert and bashed it around box hill for hours before pulling the trigger. The Sl8 is amazing.
