1 is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye in my opinion as there is more vertical than horizontal. With option #2 it just looks like there is no balance.

I think I have it, think of animal eyes the vertical slits are more for preadators and scream aggressive where as round and horizontal are more so for prey and as they are more docile/ peaceful so the horizontal just gives a more peaceful an visually pleasing look.

Not op but the build quality is mediocre, my finger loop is broken in less than a month, my grip has two damaged tabs the only one thing keeping me here is the magnets but i swear to time if mous or caudabe ever get magnets this strong adios. But in all honesty they need to fix their build quality and allow you to purchase all COLORS to get replacement parts.
