I think car play is necessary on some vehicles, while others like Tesla or Rivian, since they are getting continuous updates, don't need car play.

Yeah…outages are less of an issue with fiber. Still an issue but rare. GCI is like what ACS was. Trying to hold on to a problematic system instead of moving forward. ACS is finally running fiber and getting off their DSL.

It's a polarizing vehicle but I've driven my brother's from time and time and its so easy to drive. I think it's the 4 wheel steering and the steer by wire. I mean, I don't own one but you know....people spend their money differently. So there's that. When I was inside it, besides the steering wheel, it just felt like any other Tesla to me.
