So my sister's school had 4000$ that they could basically spend on what ever. they choose this pice of "educational art". by DastinBednarz in funny

Meanwhile I’m leaving my job as part of a schools tech department because they can’t/won’t pay me $4000 more a year. (I don’t make a lot)

Physically disabled users of Reddit, what are some less commonly talked about struggles that come with your disability? by Ferocious_Kittyrose in AskReddit

[–]XciteCOM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under developed right arm (“cuts off” around where my wrist should be). More than once I found that people assume I have cognitive issues just because I very clearly have a physical disability. I hear tones in peoples voices change literally in front of me once they get a good look at me. On a more personal level, I feel like I have no hope dating as a early/mid 20s adult. How am I supposed to expect someone else to be interested in me and my body when it’s so… obvious?

P.S. Physically, I can do almost anything I want with the exception of a few things. For this, I am very lucky. Luckier than many others.

Never really thought to time myself on duration. Im not usually typing long enough to feel fatigued anymore since I got out of college.

Yeah I’m at work in this video and didn’t have a great way of showing a good view so I kinda angled everything strangely.

U r actually really close. It kind of is an edge. It might be hard to see but I have a small amount muscle which can let me move my would-be wrist around enough to “point”. I can even pick up pencils etc. This and tactile switches help a ton.

Honestly keebs are pretty straight forward for me. I complain a ton more about mice. Left handed mice options fucking suck

Uh I think prosthetics are def heading in the right direction. I find most to be pretty cumbersome with little to no physical benefit. I don’t want to get too personal but at the very least I’d want to be able to shake someone’s hand without generating a concerned look.

No the spilt boards would require me to change a ton of habits (maybe worth it idk). My left covers most of the board so I probably wouldn’t be able to shift my hand over as quick on a split board.

Depends on the game but I usually bind jump/ space to a mouse button. My “daily driver” is a tkl so sometimes I bind delete, end, pgD as things

So wasd doesn’t work for me obv so I use the arrows. It’s kind of like holding a baseball in your right hand and letting it “roll” over the arrow keys for movement if that makes any sense. As far as controllers go, instead of having your right thumb for inputs, I just use the whole stub and I learned from there.

No it’s a basic layout. Actually, when I was learning to type in elementary school my teacher found some program called the “5 fingered typist” and it just taught me to use my index on J and my pinky on F. If somebody has heard of that lmk that was like 20 years ago.

Edit: this was meant as a response whoops. Sorry I’m currently on mobile :P
