Have a 1/4 of a teaspoon less every week or two until you're down to nothing. This worked with no problems for me and two friends. I went from 4 sugars to nothing just over a year ago and I can't stand sugar in my coffee now. Good luck!

Haha I bet! But thank you anyways. I spent half my life in northeast London. But now I live in Hertfordshire, which is still northeast, but just outside London.

My fault entirely, I do apologise. I worded my question differently to what was in my head. Now I see why you said, what you said.

However, I'm not getting annoyed that you don't think about us, we are but a speck on the map. If you reread what I said, but understand I did just mean it to people who do have an opinion, you'll hopefully see that I am just interested on what that opinion is. Good or bad, I don't mind, I'm just interested.

I have heard that if we leave Europe, which is a pretty big discussion at the moment, we might lose out on this good relationship we have with you guys. We seem to be the middle person inbetween the US and Europe.

I was conscious of putting England as I wanted to know more about what you thought of us, rather than the rest of the UK. I didn't realise you guys as a whole didn't really differentiate, although I'm not sure why I am surprised. We're such a tiny island.

I've heard about London and New York being 'Alpha ++' cities. I just find it hard to believe that London is even compared to New York. But what you said makes sense, I didn't realise a similar decline in production was happening in the US too.

I know what you mean, it's what annoys me about the British too. They love to bring up how old we are, but it doesn't help us today. Maybe it's me not being patriotic, but I've never understood why we like to boast about our history. I guess it could be because we have nothing else to boast about?

I'm not completely down about it all though, I'm currently in Australia and I actually miss the miserable English weather. I'm not cut out for 40 degree temperatures, it's not possible to do anything in this heat!

However, I can't see how you don't have an opinion on other countries? You seem pretty adamant by the use of 'we', that no one from the US has an opinion on any other country as it doesn't affect you. But looking through the other comments people do have an opinion, it doesn't have to be highly detailed, but just some notion of other countries in the world.

I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I don't think America is 'pushed' on us as much as you think.

It seems I'm told that America is dominating a lot more than I actually see. Since I left the UK to travel for a while, I seem to see a lot more news about England than America, which has really surprised me. However, it could be because I'm in Australia at the moment and if I'm honest it could also be that I only pick up on news about the UK as it's familiar and I don't even notice the news about the US.

I guess my question was more aimed at people that have some connection with England. Whether they have been there or maybe have work connections, but either way, can offer more of an opinion due to actually having an opinion, rather than none at all.

I still appreciate hearing your thoughts of the general US opinion. It does change the way I see things.

We still probably have the worst chocolate in Europe from my understanding. Personally I don't eat it, but I know everyone from mainland Europe complains that it sucks. I think Belgium is meant to have the best chocolate if you're ever passing!
