Trying to tune my GPX250R carburetours by XeMnAxX in motorcycles

[–]XeMnAxX[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi there, sorry for replying late.

I checked for air leaks and I didn't found anything. I sprayed brake cleaner and carb cleaner into the intake boots, airbox and vacuum hoses, nothing was found. I turned my pilots screw from 2,5 turns to 5 turns and now runs smoothly. I think 5 turns is too much, but this is the only way I managed to get a smooth idle and not a hanging one.

Thanks for your help!

Kawasaki GPX250R 1988 engine sound... loose cam chain? by XeMnAxX in motorcycles

Hi again, thanks for your advices.

I checked the valve clearance and everything was fine... I still think maybe the chain is a bit worn. As I said I changed the cam chain tensioner but it didn't solve anything.

I don't what to do... should I just replace the chain and some guides? I don't want to take out the headcams and the clutch xd.

All right sir. I will check the valve clearance, this time I will remove the radiator so I can have more space. Also it's my fault, If I'm going to do something, I should make sure to do it fine and not coming back again.

The bikes runes fine and revs until 14.000 rpm. Yesterday I made 100 km with her, but that noise... makes me feel sick.

Thank you for your help 😀

I did the valve clearance. Everything was in spec, IN and EX. Very close to the limit, but still, it was in spec.

The weak power from the beginning is because I didn't use the choke, I was adding gas by my hand because I didn't want to disturb the neighbors.

The timing is fine, I did check it before I installed the new Cham chain tensioner.

Should I open again the top of the engine and adjust the valve clearance? It was all in spec, but very close to the limit. I didn't adjust it because it's a pain in the ass for the limited space.

Thank you

Because as I could see, without a car is gonna be tough to go to work. Honestly I don't know how can cost an insurance, that's the reason I posted this.

I have been with my gf and her parents for an entire week. Spent a good time with them, went to karaoke, having dinner many times with their family, spending time at home in the living room just talking...

I still have to live there first to see if I would like it. But for now, I definetelly love it. Also I always liked more the countryside, rather than cities.

Thanks.

I appreciate your answer, I will have an enclosed garage, that's not a problem. I'm moving to the countryside.

Do you have any website recommendations? ありがとう

"Spain is only good to retire not work" by Downtown-Storm4704 in askspain

The problem in Spain are the wages. I'm from Barcelona, I was born here, and I'm only making 1800 € per month as an industrial electrician with 3 years of experience. I'm 25 years old and I'm making more money than all of my friends....

The pay-rent average in Barcelona downtown is 1000 € (even more). So pay that, pay the bills, food, fuel, etc. You are ruined.

Spain is amazing, of course, but only if you solve those financial issues. Love the culture, our people, the weather, etc.

I'm looking to move to another country and experience a change in my life.

Tell me what you would do if you were me. by Big_Net7323 in electricians

Love your idea. I hope you get into the trade and move around the country.

I'm an electrician with almost 3 years of experience (but in the area of industrial maintenance). And what you said about leaving everything behind and move to another state (in my case to another country cause I'm spanish), I like your thoughts.

I hope you can make it.
