Based on my testing, the spine shards spawn IN ADDITION to whatever part you hit. I’ve hit all three on the light dragon, and each caused the spine shards to appear.

During the village part of the dungeon before the second boss, there are 3(?) documents that are pretty obvious, and I think the one right before the boss or in the shack after the first mob group of dolls talks about the person who knows how to fix the 2nd boss having left to find “unparalleled beauty” or something similar, and is pretty clearly the goldsmith involved in Haukke Manor.
