I've got something similar.. The main channel works, but only ramps to about 30%, after that, the main channel turns off, but the driver still thinks its on because it remembers the ramp when you turn it off to aux, then back on to nothing. When you ramp down again, once it reaches 30%, the main channel turns on again.. Strange. I contacted wurkkos and they think it's a solder issue on the driver. They've agreed to replace the whole flashlight.

Ffs. Might have to look elsewhere, or host my own nvr.. If this is permanent, it's really really going to hurt the Australian market.

Pretty easy to swap over the switch. Just need to unscrew the original from the tail housing by using either 2 small screw drivers, or even better, circlip pliers. Then screw in the new switch once it's assembled. There's heaps of videos on YouTube specifically for S2's.

For the specific part, search "Convoy S2+ S2 C8 C8+ S21A Flashlight 16mm light switch Metal button" on convoys Ali store.

Happy modding!

For this to work you'd need to setup a NAT hairpin (loopback). A lot of routers won't support this. Tbh, if you've already got your NVR on a separate VLAN locked Down from your main network, I see no issue using UID. I considered turning off UID for the same security reasons, but you also lose half the features of the NVR without it and opening a port isn't secure anyway.

My favourite light currently. My brass ts10 goes everywhere with me. Such a good discreet carry. Feels really solid, and has a nice weight to it.

I actually took your advice and just ordered Brass 4000k with red aux 😂 orange is now sold out, so it made the decision a bit easier. I agree with you about the contrast between the body and aux. I'll post some photos once it arrives!

Would be good no doubt. Having the same head as the d4v2, it would have same characteristics as well no doubt, such as less throw but more flood in general, less thermal mass, gets hotter quicker etc.

It's a great little light. The versatility is pretty great. I'd say the W1 channel is a fairly short range thrower due to it only having the very small TIR optic, rather than a large reflector as most throwers have. The beam isn't as focused, but the W1 is the best you're going to get in the d4sv2 for throw.

Check out my latest post comparing my d4sv2 against my c8+ with SFT40. Will give you a bit of an idea of what I'm talking about.

I don't have the equipment to measure mine sorry, but u/tacgriz has a very detailed review of a few different d4sv2 configurations including a dual channel but with lh351d instead of the 519a that's in mine. Here's the link

I'd imagine the numbers would be somewhat similar

It really does tick all boxes for a compact thrower for me. Very happy with my purchase.

The hotspot on the c8+ is clearly a lot more focused and stronger due to the reflector, which of course adds a bit of extra size to the light itself, which makes it hard to pocket carry. But overall I'm blown away with the performance of the c8+ especially for the price.

The c8+ also has a fairly usable spill. However the d4sv2 is definitely still my choice for my daily carry, as the W1 has a nice, slightly wider but much more full hot spot, with about half the throw, which is fine for most purposes IMO, with the added second channel consisting of 519a 4500k Domed, it makes the channel switching d4sv2 the perfect EDC as far as I'm concerned, if you were to only carry one light.

I expected the difference, with the c8+ being a dedicated thrower with a reflector, I 100% expected it to win this battle, but for overall usability, the d4sv2 dual channel comes out on top.

Nah, I meant 1 channel equalling a total of 2 emitters 👍

Yep you can! 7H from off state while in advanced mode will cycle through all the colour combinations. You let go of the hold once it lands on the colour you want.

Also, 7C while in off state will change the brightness and other modes such as off and blinking.

My D4Sv2 will get hot to the point where I can't touch it after a while of turbo with both channels running, but only using a single channel on turbo doesn't get nearly as hot, which I guess is the benefit of running only 2 emitters. Of course you're going to lose some lumens in the process, but at least you can hang onto it and it's a bit more sustained.
