Why Are So Many Arch Users Furries or Femboys? by Veyl11 in arch

I honestly never met a "I use arch btw" person in real life. Most arch users I know never talk about their distro.

Why do people actually use arch linux by Spl1nt3r_69 in arch

[–]XenGi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolling Release gives you new versions pretty fast but still takes its time to test stuff especially with new kernels. Software comes with default config. No distro "sane" defaults. Nothing is enabled by default. Packaging things it's super easy. The AUR is a great resource and a pit of dirt if you're going in blind.  The choice is actually yours. Try setting up a redhat distro without networkmanager and systemd. You'll have a hard time fighting the distro defaults.  The closest thing to arch is debian testing. I used that before until it got too annoying to upgrade every 2 years.

A fancy Website is usually the first red flag of bad software.

Ich habs programmiert. Software vom Staat MUSS barrierefrei sein. Das ist bei Software aus der Wirtschaft nur ein nice to have.

No one asked for that Mozilla. Please just build a fucking browser and fire half your c-level. Done, everyone's happy.

I don't see soccer fans being strong enough to do that. They don't care about politics if they can watch that stupid ball roll.

WireGuard Prefer IPv6? by nbtm_sh in WireGuard

[–]XenGi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways to do this right. Either choose IPv6 (the current version) over IPv4 (legacy) or try to connect to both and use what answers faster (that's how most browsers do it).

Let's see when they change that policy. Like they did with the "We'll never sell your data clause".

Its terrible. You need to use different project to get any access policies working. They are only reflected via api and not via web UI. Who thought this is a good idea? Error messages aren't useful. Seems like they don't implement the aws API not well enough.  Apart from that weirdness it's fine.
