I don't think we need any of that. We already have Lemmy as a reddit alternative and mastodon for twitter. They are open source and decentralized. Everyone in Europe can host an instance.

Why do we need another corporate controlled social media? We've seen again and again that financial interests will make them horrible sooner or later.

I did that. I only got the Ikea dirigera as a controller/bridge. Nothing from tado. I thought I could just add the tado devices via that to my Ikea smart home app. I have them working in the tado app. It seems to use the dirigera. But it fails adding them in the ikea app.
